    Easy to use

    I bought this a month ago for my new house, it is very small and 2 levels so I wanted something easy to use and that I can do the stairs. It’s great for a quick daily whip around, when I want to do a full big clean though I still use my plug in bagged vacuum.

    Strong suction & light weight

    Bought this to replace our 14 year old Dyson. V8 is ergonomically design, decent battery operation hours and surprisingly light. The suction is strong enough not having to use “max” mode. Highly recommended.

    TERRIBLE! DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM!!! I disregarded the reviews mentioning the charging issues. Regrettable. Exactly one year after having this vacuum it's run time on a fully charged battery kept getting shorter and shorter until it would only run for 10 seconds. It has a two year warranty so Dyson sent a replacement battery. That didn't fix the issue so they sent a replacement base. That still didn't fix the issue. Dyson used to be a dependable brand but that's not the case anymore. I don't think I'll ever buy anything by Dyson again. High price point for a vacuum that stops working after one year.

    Simply the best

    This model has great suction and better battery life than most other brands that I've used. There are two things I think would improve the vacuum. A light on the motorbar head would make it easier to see any dust. Also having to hold the trigger constantly is inconvenient. Perhaps more of a toggle switch to turn on and stay on.

    More powerful

    This is our second Dyson cordless - this is our first V8. We love it! Quieter, more powerful, extra attachments...what's not to love. Some complain about the battery life, but we already know about that issue and it's non-issue for us - we take breaks during the charging times. We haven't had the V-8 long but I do believe it has better suction power. The filter system is better and traps more dust and dirt than our older model. How did we ever get along without Dyson cordless?

    I absolutely LOVE the Dyson It is very difficult for me to take apart to empty- in fact I can’t do it at all- my husband has to empty for me. Also the battery doesn’t last very long at all.

    Dyson does make a great vacuum

    This v8 is my second one, we had a v7 before for 10 years, The v8 is great, but a fully charged battery only lasts 15 minutes. The first two weeks it last about 25 minutes I have had the v8 for three weeks

    For the price I paid I would expect the battery to last longer than 15 minutes. Then it takes 3 to 4 hours to charge. And I just got it. Don’t waste your money.

    It is what we expected

    We bought this several weeks ago to replace an elderly Dyson we inherited. It works well, as we anticipated. However, we found that some of the tools we had from our older machine do not fit this one, which was a bit of a disappointment.

    Compact & Powerful

    Surprisingly powerful suction for the size, battery life is plenty for a quick clean of a few rooms. The motorised rollers are really great for maneuverability. The bin ejection is a bit awkward however and I end up spilling dust on the floor from the filter when emptying.
