A: I used it on my grandfather’s split level house with wall to wall carpeting including on the stairs (5 stairs on one set, 9 stairs on the other). There is a handle that comes out from the back and various head attachments come in the box. I could vacuum with the wand, the 5 stairs easily. The 9 stairs, I found easiest to do the first 1/2 from the bottom floor, then unplug the vacuum, bring it to the top floor, replant in, and vacuum the last half of the stairs from the top down. Hope this helps. The suction is good. The down side, my vacuum after three years is now acting weird and there is no local Dyson repair shop within 50 miles from me. So now I don’t know what to do
