Q: Your Tide Free and Clear HE says it is now 84 fl. oz. and it does 64 loads. I used to purchase 92 fl. oz. and it also said 64 poads. Is the product now somehow stronger?

  • A: While the volume of the Tide Free and Clear HE detergent has been reduced from 92 fl. oz. to 84 fl. oz., the formula has been updated to maintain the same cleaning power per load. This means the detergent is more concentrated, so you’ll need less liquid per load to achieve the same level of cleaning as before. Essentially, the product is stronger and more efficient, allowing you to still get 64 loads from the smaller volume

  • A: Tide's answer about the number of loads for the 84 oz. container is completely misleading. See details. Line 5 of measuring cup for full load = 4 oz. That's 21 loads/ 84 oz. container.

Q: Is the 156 fluid ounces HE also? it is not on the top of the container did they just forget to put it there. I would like to know if it is also High Efficiency the 156 fluid ounce?

  • A: I called my local store and asked them to verify whether the 154 oz version (DPCI: 003-08-0159) is in fact High Efficiency (HE). They verified that it is HE. The person I spoke with said the HE logo is on the bottle — admittedly, I haven't yet purchased so I'm verifying this second hand.

    "Free & Gentle" has scent in recent purchases

    We have used Tide Free & Gentle for many years with no problem but recent purchases have a scent that is similar to regular detergent. Even with adding white vinegar to the rinse cycle and adding an extra rinse it is still very noticeable and unwelcome. What has Tide done to it?

    Clean and gentle!

There’s no scent which I actually don’t mind. My clothes didn’t smell bad at all when I took them out of the washer or dryer. After drying everything looked clean and bright. I also liked that it’s made for sensitive skin so I felt comfortable using it on undergarments and my kids clothes. I really have no complaints!

    Safe for the Whole Family

As a mom with a sensitive baby, house full of pets, and a spouse that does hard labor it can be challenging to find a detergent that works for everyone. I need a detergent that's safe for baby and pets, gets the stains out of my husband's work clothes, and removes all the odors. This detergent exceeded my expectations. Clothes smelled clean, not covered with fragrance, just clean. Stains such as marker, chocolate, strawberries, all gone!

    Got for my mother

    Laundry was always fresh and clean

I use this to wash my pet items, bed linen clothing, and got the same results for everything. Everything gave a nice clean look to it and even though it doesn’t have a smell, everything still had a fresh smell, which I did appreciate because some things that doesn’t have a smell can still leave a musty smell, which this did not and I appreciated that I loved that this was a product that I could use on multiple laundry items and I would re-purchase again
