New and does not work
I purchased the cleaner back in September, but pulled it out the box last week and it does not work. After some research, I found this not uncommon for this model. Now I'm stuck with a cleaner I saved up for and does not work. I can't find my receipt.

This awesome machine is an excellent example of superb engineering. Okay, It's not a space ship. But it would be worthy if needed. I've been in engineering for decades and the common sense design is so refreshing. Simple and Smart. So easy to use and clean.

Worked great at first but...
Used it three times and then it stopped spraying the solution onto the carpet. No idea why and I don't know hoe to trouble shoot this. I wish I would have taken the time to look and see how many 1 star reviews this thing gets...

new favorite carpet cleaner and all 3 are Hoovers
after we bought a new house 2 of the 3 bedroom carpets we wanted to save but knew our powerdash wouldn't be big enought so we bought this and one pass almost got rid of a stain we thought would be perminate but after round 2 it was completely gone, and in the other bedroom the carpet went from yellow to white

Good, not great
This Hoover smart wash carpet cleaner does clean the carpets well, however, it does not extract the water well, even though it has a dry only option. Definitely not as good as the older Hoover version was. The carpet takes quite a bit of time to dry; at least 3+ hours.

Poor investment
It worked for about six months before the plastic molding that clipped together to hold the brush cover broke and I couldn’t get suction anymore because the mechanism was now loose. I discovered this when trying to dry the floor and couldn’t.

Easiest carpet cleaner to use.
I have had mine for two years. It has always worked very well. Love that you don’t have to hold down a lever to get to wash. Also like that you don’t have to measure and mix the cleaning fluid. One problem I just had was the cleaning fluid is leaking out. Will need to get it repaired. This is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars. When it’s not leaking it is the easiest and best carpet cleaner I have owned.

I don't like having to remove the soap container, just to rinse because it drip after removal and have to find somewhere to place it, other than that everything is Awesome 👌

Feeling ripped off
Im 65 and this is my 3rd Hoover machine, I was really skeptical of this smartwash crap and I was right apparently, it's very light and cheap made, I have only used it once in a very small area and now I go to use once again and it won't pick up the dispensed water. I actually had to use my older Hoover for help.

Someone Help
I absolutely loved my smart wash I followed the rules to a t. I always cleaned the brushes after each use cleaned all the tanks and dried them before I put it away. Then one day I fill my water and soap and start the machine and it's making this God awful noise. Very very loud I flipped machine over and took a look and everything's clean ...is there any saving it I haven't even had it for a year. I really loved this machine and now I'm so disappointed
