Q: We purchased the navigator but it is very difficult to manuever on our plush carpet. We have set it to minimum and carpet but I still have difficulty pushing it. Is there something we are doing?

A: For the Shark NV181, only the foam and felt filters are washable. Rinse them with water and let them air dry for 24 hours. The HEPA filter is not washable; tap it gently to remove dust or replace as needed.

Another Great Shark Vac
The motor is quieter than my last Shark vacuum. They extended the the length of the retractable hose which makes it much more useable with the hand tools. The brush roller picks up about the same as my last Shark vacuum. The power cord has been moved to the right side which makes it a little awkward when using the vacuum.

Not pet friendly!
Horrific clogs in multiple places 2 months in that left it unusable. I cleaned it out after every room, checked every tube. I have 2 cats and a dog with a double coat so I’m used to needing to watch for hair, but this was ridiculous. My other shark vacuum lasted 2 years at least. I’m tired of garbage.

Shark Navigator NV181 - stopped working and no reset button!
Purchased in August 25, but didn’t open the box to use it until the week of Thanksgiving. It has stopped working and won’t even turn on now. I have had Shark Navigators for years without issues. This one is brand new and won’t even turn on. I will go back to Dyson!

This vacuum is worth it! I had an older version of the navigator so this new one with the swivel feature is much easier to move around with. It picks up our dog’s short hair with ease.
