A: In my experience, yes, this vacuum tips over easily when using the hose with attachments. It's annoying enough that I would probably not purchase it again because of this (I do find its suction to be good and the filter and canister are easy to keep clean).

A: No, this vacuum is not a Powered Lift-Away model. It is an upright vacuum with a self-cleaning brushroll, but it does not feature the Powered Lift-Away functionality found in some of our other Shark models.

A: I have 3 long hair dogs and this does a really good job of keeping the hair from wrapping. The only times I’ve had to remove anything was a long string of thread or something that wrapped up and dog hair then got caught in that. I clean off the brush roll when I do the filters and it’s never much and usually I can just pull it, no scissors needed.

To keep hair off the brushroll, the self-cleaning brushroll has anti hair wrap strips that will constantly make contact with comb, creating a different tone from a traditional vacuum.

Q: Does the vacuums catch compartment filters be removed out of the catch compartment? Maintence hasn't been easy, I wasnt able to take the brush roll can that also be removed for better maintenance?

A: We would like to let you know that you can remove the foam and felt filter (located in the unit under the dust cup) to be able to wash the filters (with water only and allow to completely dry before putting back inthe unit). The brushroll is not a removeable part from the floor nozzle. To eaily remove hair and debris from the brushroll we recommend using scissors to cut any hair or strings to make easier to remove.

Great for carpets
Vacuum is light weight and easy to clean. The suction in it is great for a carpet but I would say it cleans the carpet better than the hardwood floor. The multiple attachments are a big benefit for the wand that you can pull out and use and the cord and long and able to get all over the room I am cleaning. Easy to move around things .

Doesn't live up to the pet pro or self cleaning brush roll hype!
The self cleaning brush roll doesn’t self clean, it gets hair wrapped around it like any traditional style. Personally I think it clogs worse. It also states it is a pet pro, but my last non pet pro vacuum was able to handle dog hair much easier. I only have 1 dog, this thing would burn out fast in a house with multiple pets!

Horrible vacuum
This vacuum was pretty horrible. I read the reviews before purchasing and almost all were positive. The vacuum suction is very low. I had to vacuum over items 5-6 times before the vacuum picked it up. On the first day the red light was already turning on. I went from using my Miele vacuum to this and it was not cutting it. I returned it asap

So diasppointing.
I would not recommend this model. I just used mine for the first, and the suction on both carpet and hard surface is terrible, even when I went over the area several times. I have used other Shark models, and I really like them. This one is made cheaper than my other models as well. Really not worth it!

I am in awe of this vacuum! I didn’t have a vacuum for a few months while trying to decide what I wanted and waiting for sales. I shed like crazy wnd have very long hair and I am blown away by how very little hair wrapped around. I expected there to still be hair but there is such a small amount I can’t believe it! It cleans so well from dust, dirt, hair etc. that I had to vacuum a couple times (I have long carpet) to finally have nothing coming up from the carpet!

My husband noticed that when you push or pull the vacuum it’s not as powerful in sucking up on carpet unless you literally hold it upright to get some good suction. Also the noise is a bit annoying because it has a screeching sound as if there’s something wrong with it and the fact that we just bought it and did a test tun has me kind of second guessing this shark purchase.. : (

Bring back the old model!! The floor light is gone, the power cord is shorter, the vacuum is much louder, and it is harder to push on carpets. Loved the last model but this is no way and improvement :(

Haaaate this vacuum. It only works if you have barely anything on a hardwood floor to suck up. ive had it a few months and have already have to take it apart 3 times. My Dyson before this Shark was 10+ years old and I took it apart 1 time. I should have saved my money and went back to Dyson. Do not recommend this product.

I have owned many shark vacuums and this one is by far the worst. Works great on hard floors, however a very low profile carpet it hops when pulling it back, and do not vacuum the carpet, yes I switch it from hard floor to carpet, to vacuum the carpet, and it is horrible!

To improve maneuverability, adjust the suction control slider located on the top of the handle. Slide it to MIN to reduce suction and make it easier to push and pull on carpeted surfaces. I got this vacuum 4 years ago and never had a problem with it. Just stopped working and I called customer service. They are sending me a replacement! What a great customer service experience and I will definitely get another shark product.
