Love this watch
Love the features of which there are many. The only thing that doesn't really work for me is the sleep tracking.

Beautiful - A Watch I Truly Love
My Garmin fēnix 8 (43 mm) is absolutely beautiful, and it does everything I want and need in a smartwatch. A few years ago, my workplace wellness program offered points for healthy habits, and I redeemed those points for a Garmin scale. That’s when I first fell in love with Garmin Connect. The data, insights, and overall ecosystem just made sense to me. Later, while using an Apple Watch, I found myself missing Garmin, so I switched back and bought the Garmin Venu 2. It was a great watch, but I still had a few specific needs that weren’t fully met at the time. What I wanted most: • A watch that stays dark while I sleep • Accurate nap tracking • A screen that does not light up during candlelight yoga or quiet moments Without even having to ask, the newer Garmin models do all of this—and they do it well. The fēnix 8 feels intuitive, respectful of my environment, and aligned with my lifestyle. Whether I’m sleeping, resting, practicing yoga, or staying active during the day, it adapts seamlessly without distracting me. This watch supports my health, my routines, and my peace—and that’s exactly what I was looking for.

Workout buddy!
Bought watch to tackle and get better at running. Great features, happy I pulled the trigger. Does things my Apple Watch can not.

Impossible - like everything Garmin
Nothing intuitive. Despite having kayaking as a sport, Garmin chat said no navigational charts can be used wit it. Trying to locate LiveTrack on my phone (Garmin Connect) each time required such a search that I usually gave up. This is my fourth Garmin product and not one is easy to use. Very disappointed.

Good watch, but feel outdated.
The watch is good overall but feels old, like it is not from recent years. It is laggy and slow; the buttons are super hard and stick a bit. Good autonomy.

Basics Fail
The one and only thing every single smart watch must get right - heart rate monitor. This thing is awful, even after wearing it the way they demand to get an accurate heart rate. It reads really high before I even work out. Then really low when I’m panting. Unacceptable.

Great tool for the outdoors
I have been using Gramind devices like forever. This Fenix is pretty good I suppose. Battery is the best thing, last about a week with my daily workouts. I feel the health aspects could be better. Like sleep I don't feel is accurate as in deep vs REM. But otherwise it gets the job done for me.

Fantastic Display and Features
I haven't had time to explore all the features and widgets since there are so many, but the Amoled scree and the touch screen are a huge improvement from my last Fenix. The watch is great and I would highly recommend it.

Way Too Pricey
Long time Apple Watch User, figured to give it a fair trial. Definitely have few nice niche fitness features, however its way too much of steep price difference. There is just no way for me to justify the price difference between the Apple Ultra. If they were at the same price point, than I can forgo some of the Apple integration I missed but for me it was not worth it.

Nice watch
Lots of features but coming from and Apple watch I’m still trying to figure it out. I wish it had a CrossFit and other option for activities. Don’t think there’s one for stationary bike either l, but like I said I’m still trying to figure it out. Wish it would auto detect sleep also.

Apple update helped!
Microphone on watch did not communicate with my iPhone 17 - that is until the most recent update by apple. Now it works great. Loving my fenix more as I get more familiar with the logic to navigate functions

Dependable, rugged, life saving
I got this shortly after it's release in October of 2024. I have worn it everyday since buying it. I've gotten many compliments on it. The features alone are worth it. This watch actually helped save my life. I use the GPS tracking for dirt bike rides daily. I've had multiple close calls on my bike, but this watch was able to provide help to me from the gps, flashlight, and body monitoring vitals. Although it doesn't take blood pressures it was able to show HR, RR, and BPM out of range when I became extremely dehydrated. Showed the way out of remote areas when turned around. The flashlight is perfect and lit my way out of the mountains when my other lights failed. The battery life alone is worth more than any other watch I have tried. I wish it had a few more features for text. Eg. talk to text or write to text. The voice calling failed on mine maybe a function disabled but it's still great. It helped me identify the sources of stress in my life too. There are so many features I don't use. If you question its worth. Don't. It's dependable, rugged, life saving, and lasts for weeks while using GPS, the led light, and texting.

Garmin Fēnix 8: Stylish Performance for Running
I absolutely love this watch. The size is perfect—it’s small enough to fit my wrist comfortably while still looking stylish and fashionable. It seamlessly supports all my activities, including running, walking, strength training, and yoga, with especially impressive running metrics that keep me motivated and informed. Beyond workouts, the Garmin Fēnix 8 excels at everyday wellness tracking. It accurately monitors sleep, stress levels, and daily steps, giving me a clear picture of my overall health. Functional, comfortable, and beautiful—this watch has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. Love, love, love it!

Great watch overall, but recurring sensor dropouts
I really like the Fenix 8 overall — the display, features, training metrics and daily insights are excellent. However, I’m disappointed with recurring sensor connection dropouts, especially during indoor cycling workouts. My setup is entirely within the Garmin ecosystem: Tacx Flow Smart trainer, Garmin HRM, cadence and speed sensors. Using the same setup and environment, my Edge bike computer remains stable, while the Fenix 8 repeatedly loses connection. I also previously used an Epix Gen 2 in the same indoor and outdoor scenarios, and this level of signal loss did not happen with the same frequency. The issue is not limited to indoor training — I’ve also experienced sensor dropouts during outdoor rides. Occasional dropouts can happen, but frequent and repeated losses on a premium watch are frustrating and affect confidence in using it for training. I haven’t found a reliable solution so far.

Focus on Performance and Size
The Fenix 8 51mm is a beast. I was looking for a robust watch that didn't feel 'small' on my wrist, and this size is perfect. The screen real estate is massive, making maps and data screens incredibly easy to read. The Silver bezel paired with the Orange bands looks incredible—sporty yet sophisticated. Battery life is unbeatable, and the build quality is top-notch. Truly the king of adventure watches.

The Watch That Keeps on Giving
I upgraded from the Fenix 5x to the 8 and WOWZA what a difference a couple of years can make! I am loving not only the data and interface options but the customization features, morning and evening reports, and the accuracy of tracking. Nothing beats a Garmin product. And the battery life is unbeatable

Wow what a watch!
I bought this a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed. It is quality everything. Features that I didn't think I'd use, I do all of the time. I rarely look at my garmin connect app on my phone anymore. It is expensive, but I wanted to treat myself. This is the 4th garmin product I've had in 20 years-I may not use all of the apps to the full extent, but I don't do that on my phone either. I am enjoying learning how to use it, and happy with new discoveries each day
