Exceptional Upgrade!
Upgraded from my Fenix 6 and really appreciate what the Fenix 8 Pro brings to the table. Being able to Mtb untethered and still message friends/family is a game changer. The amoled display is a huge upgrade, I keep the brightness at the lowest level and have no issues seeing it in the sun. My only complaint is my bank and credit card are not supported on Garmin Pay, but for the very few times I would ever use it as a standalone service not a deal breaker.

Terrible Battery life
Lots of nice features but the battery does not last more than 3 or 4 days before having to charge. My Fenix 7 would last at least a full week with the same amount of activities.

Simply Outstanding
The Fēnix 8 Pro 47mm AMOLED is, without exaggeration, the most impressive smartwatch I’ve ever worn. Garmin has managed to refine an already legendary line into something that feels both ruggedly professional and genuinely luxurious. The AMOLED display is the star of the show—bright, razor-sharp, and incredibly easy to read in any lighting condition, from direct sunlight to late-night workouts. It adds a level of polish that makes the watch feel premium without sacrificing Garmin’s signature durability. Performance-wise, this watch is a powerhouse. GPS accuracy is rock solid, even in challenging environments, and the depth of fitness and health metrics is unmatched. Whether tracking workouts, monitoring recovery, or navigating outdoor adventures, it delivers data that’s not just detailed, but actually useful. Battery life is still exceptional for an AMOLED device—far better than most competitors—and it easily keeps up with demanding, multi-day use. The 47mm size hits a perfect balance: substantial without being bulky, rugged without feeling oversized. Build quality is outstanding, with materials that feel like they’re designed to last for years, not just product cycles. What really sets the Fēnix 8 Pro apart is how seamlessly it blends serious athletic capability with everyday smartwatch usability. It’s equally at home on the trail, in the gym, or worn all day at work—and it looks great doing it. In short, the Fēnix 8 Pro AMOLED isn’t just an upgrade; it’s a statement. If you want a no-compromise watch that excels in performance, design, and reliability, this is as good as it gets.

LTE is terrible and phone sync always fails
This is a great sports watch, but the LTE feature often fails to update the weather on the device. Additionally, synchronization with the iPhone frequently does not work, requiring you to open the app to force updates. While it excels as a sports watch, it falls short in smartwatch capabilities. Given these issues, it does not seem worth the price, especially since you also have to pay a subscription to access basic functionalities. I don't recommend anyone to buy this instead of cheaper sport watches to have the same functionalities if that is the case.

Great features and amazing battery life.
I had an Apple Watch Ultra 3 that would go two days at most. It is nice to have a watch that has most of the features the Ultra 3 (and some beyond what Apple offers) that can run for days without recharging. I top off the charge in the morning when I take a shower and it gets back to 100% most days. I wish the LTE features were a bit more general with regard to phone calling; perhaps Garmin will add features via a future software update.

Great screen, but quality issues
My watch has twice locked up to where neither the touch screen or buttons are responding. Usually able to get the top left to respond to start the power down, then back out and it comes back. Is this a HW issue or is there a fix coming?

Garmin is my go to still
Garmin is always a good product providing a well rounded smart watch for athletes. I am happy with the battery life and glad they have made it back into the LTE world so I can be safe while training. I can navigate the watch fine but the software is still a little wonky compared to an apple watch.

Its okay, thinking of returning
Too much to type, but in a nutshell, if your whole family/network is using garmin then that would be great, otherwise, not so great. All the"pro" features are not useful if all are not connected.

Love the screen
Upgraded from the Fenix 7 Pro. Love the screen, so much easier to reach. Want to use the Inreach functionality, but more needs to be done to simplify.

Great watch, cellular features severely lacking.
I received this as a gift, and was hoping that the cellular features would allow me to run with just my watch and remain in contact. That is not the case. Only people who have the Garmin messaging app can contact me, which is useless as people call/text my normal number, and none of that comes through like it does on my Apple Watch. I suppose for now I will continue to run with my Apple Watch for communications, and Garmin for run tracking. All other features are great. Garmin has had more than a decade to try to match communications features with Apple Watches, and they’re still not there.

Amazing Product
I absolutely love my watch. The built in Garmin in reach feature gives my family piece of mind when I’m back country hiking and camping. I was surprised how easy the watch was to setup. I have enjoyed the follow on emails giving even more details on how to work all the features this watch has and there are more than plenty of features. 100% recommend purchasing this product.

Greatest Garmin Watch Ever
I'm a big fan of Garmin Watches, I started with a Decent G1, upgraded to Fenix 8 and then, as soon as it came out, upgraded to Fenix 8 Pro and here's why. One thing that lacked in Fenix 8 was that with everything it can do, without a phone present, it couldn't send out distress messages. Since this watch is ment to be worn by the best, to do the best, I always found it bizarre. But LTE and In-reach built in is a game changer. Apple Watch Ultra, literally had one advantage over Fenix 8 and it was the outside connection. Now there's literally no reason to buy an Apple Watch. 20+ days of battery, any sports & expedition related tech built in. What else could you ask from a watch?

Overall great with some desired features missing.
I upgraded from he Forerunnert 945 LTE. I wanted both for the emergency services (heart condition) and the Fenix adds satellite. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, it does not have automatic incident detection like the Forerunner did. It's also larger than I would have liked. The touch screen is nice, and the features/activities list is seemingly endless.

Excellent Design
I upgraded from a Fenix 6. This watch is a huge improvement. The menu structure is vastly improved. It is now easy to find the right app, feature etc. The 6 did not have a very intuitive structure. The display is much better too. I am more than willing to give up a little battery life for the higher resolution and clarity. The touch screen works great too. That also makes it easier to find things.

Great Features!
My favorite watch to wear at the moment. It is very versatile, the display looks wonderful and clear. Love the LTE feature and love the size of this 47mm. Very pleased with the battery life considering the display is very sharp! This is my second Garmin Fenix watch. They made all the right improvements!
