Here is some more information on the features you asked about: Track Heart Rate: YES. It uses Garmin's optical heart rate sensor (Elevate V4) to track your heart rate 24/7, including during exercise and rest. It also provides abnormal heart rate alerts (high or low) when resting. AFib Detection: NO (Not via EKG/ECG). It can alert you to abnormal heart rates, but it does not have the capability to run an on-demand Electrocardiogram (ECG) test needed for specific Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) detection. Notifications Only: The watch will notify you that a call is coming in by displaying the caller's name or number. Accept or Decline: You can choose to accept or decline the call from the watch, but to actually talk to the person, you must use your connected smartphone. Text Replies: On a connected Android phone, you can decline a call and send a pre-written text message reply from the watch. This feature is not available for iPhones. I really like this I use it everyday for work, snowboarding, kayaking, hiking and tracking my sleep and cycle. The only issue that I have with it is the white band gets pretty dirty just from dirt and grime and if wearing it everyday the band is rubber so it can kind of irritate sensitive skin. Other than that though it’s great!

Purchased this after a little research finding it was one of the smallest on the market. So far it’s been great. Band is comfortable and battery lasts. Screen appears durable, but I did go ahead and put a screen protector on it because I am rough with things on my hands/wrists due to work.

Excellent watch. Very comfy and tracks everything you can think of. I use it for making custom workouts and tracking my sleep. I also use it for tracking my vitals while snowboarding and mtb. Theres so much more you can do with it. Anyone could enjoy this watch. Battery life is over 5 days for me.

I have had this watch for about three weeks .I had a 3 for years more than 8 and the battery started to give out, so sad.But I like the new 6,does everything I want,bicycle tracking and all the health I need , so far into an 8 day charge and still have 52 percent change left.I like Garmin watches they look good and do as advertised.

Love the battery life!
I’m an active user, working out 3 times or more a week. I’ve had both an Apple watch and a Fitbit. The heart rate is my primary feature with GPS tracking secondary. This watch does both accurately and I don’t need to recharge it twice a day or have it go dead in the middle of a trail. That said, getting up to speed on how to use the Garmin was far from easy. I was disappointed that I had to manually enter the profiles for each type of activity.

Coming from the fenix 3, i miss the map functoriality. But for the price point it exceeds expectations . Perhaps in the future I would hold off for the do-it-all fenix, but for daily wear., it a more "stylish" fit and look

After 5 years of being an apply watch user I switched to garmin and am not very impressed. I do like the sleep statistics, but feel that the vivoactive is missing a lot of activities that I used to track all the time on my Apple Watch. If they added rock climbing/ bouldering, dancing, and barre I would be more impressed. It also has a lot of glitches.

I bought it about 2 weeks ago and it is really great, especially the blood oxygen reading, what is important to me. It has tons of exercise on the watch, sleep monitor ist the best i ever had. The only thing is, that the face of the watch changes oder dissappear suddenly. NO idea why, but I will find it out. Otherwise a wonderful smartwatch!

For close to 5 years i had the Vivoactive 4. this watch came in two sizes, the 4 and the 4s. unfortunately the 6 only comes in 1 size and its smaller than the 4 that i had. additionally, the 4 and the 5 both have a barometric altometer which is used for counting floors, however the 6 just doesnt have it. so now there is no credit given for floors/flights earned. how do we go from having features on prior models and just simply not include them on a newer model? very disappointed.

This watch has been great. I was looking for a running watch that had both an AMOLED screen and that I could wear in a variety of situations and still feel good about, and the Vivoactive has checked all the boxes so far.
