Description

Championed by coffee lovers for its smooth, full-bodied flavor and robust aroma, pour over coffee was once seen as a product of specialty coffee shops. Thanks to the handsome RIO Coffee Dripper with permanent stainless steel filter, you can now enjoy it at home, too. This pour over coffee dripper allows you to unlock the full potential of your coffee beans. The fine mesh, stainless steel filter eliminates the need for paper filters, which generate waste and strip the coffee of its flavor. So you get to enjoy the pure taste of your brew – with none of the waste! 

Once brewed, your delicious coffee flows into the heat resistant borosilicate glass carafe, ready for pouring. A handy lid is attached to keep your coffee warm for a second (or third!) cup to help kick-start your morning, while its clever design means you can pick up the carafe and pour single-handed.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Add one rounded teaspoon or one Bodum scoop of freshly ground filter coffee to the coffee filter cone for each cup/4oz of water.
2) Slowly pour hot (not boiling) water in a circular motion over the coffee grounds, until they’re evenly saturated. Then pour additional hot water.

3) Allow water to pass through the coffee into the carafe (this takes around four minutes).
4) Remove the filter cone and filter holder, and pour your delicious cup of joe.
5.) Wash before first use and after each subsequent use.

DO NOT BUY THIS! Purchase a quality one piece pour over that will be less costly and make better coffee!

I bought this as a Christmas present and my daughter has been using it for a few months now. The coffee takes a long time to make and you can only add part of the amount of water at a time while it drips and wait to add the remaining water. The plastic part stains. The coffee is barely warm by the time it finished dripping!! I purchased a different pour over that just has one piece and it sit on top of my cup and has a better design so that the filter fits in much better, the water goes through much quicker, the coffee tastes much better and I no longer have to drink barely warm coffee but can have HOT better tasting coffee with less cleanup and wait time!! I wish I could return this because it is really a bad product that was replaced by a one piece better and much less costly piece!

Delicious Coffee!

Pros: easy to use, simple instructions, delicious coffee Cons: none The Bodum Rio Coffee Dripper Set is nice! It’s very easy to use and it works really well when making a small amount of coffee. The instructions for how to use this coffee set are very straightforward and easy to understand. Once it’s assembled, you add one rounded scoop of coffee to the mesh filter and then slowly pour over 4oz of hot water in circular motion until the coffee is saturated, and then pour in the rest of the water. Once the water drips through, it’s ready to drink. Using only 4-8 ounces of water per one-two scoops of coffee is really all that should ever be made at one time or it will end up cold in the end by the time the water filters through. The end result is a very rich and smooth cup of coffee that is extremely delicious! It has quickly become my favorite and most preferred method to make small amounts of coffee multiple times a day! All in all, this is a really nice coffee set! It’s very easy to use, it makes a delicious cup of coffee, and it works really well! I would absolutely recommend it!

Easy to use, great taste

My husband worked for a major coffee chain for 15 years. We have serval different ways to make coffee, and this has become one of my favorites. It is easy to use and to clean. The coffee tastes much fresher than an automatic brewer. It does take longer to use and set up, but for someone who loves coffee I think this is worth it. It is also much easier to store than a major coffee machine. It came packaged well and arrived clean. Instructions will be helpful for people who have not used a system like this before.

Tasty Lukewarm Coffee

If lukewarm coffee is your thing, this pour over coffee maker is right up your alley. It takes so long to get enough coffee for a cup, that may boiling water has cooled down. I've tried using a couple of different coffee, and it's the same thing. The water just won't go through the filter fast enough. It does make a strong, tasty cup, though. I did not try grinding my own beans. I suspect that a large grind may help, but do not use it with a fine grind.

Just Okay

It’s okay. I guess I got so used to the quickness of a Keurig that having to wait for coffee to brew isn’t my favorite. Definitely didn’t have a problem with the way it tasted, but if you want a quick cup of coffee in the morning this probably isn’t for you.

Cool little coffee contraption

I had never tried a drip coffee maker like this so it was a little bit of a different experience, but brewing coffee is still brewing coffee. The design is aesthetically pleasing and it is super simple to use and makes strong coffee. It takes up limited space on a counter. It is a cool purchase but I am still a keurig girl. I would recommend for a single person in a small space.

Great Item

I love how easy the coffee dripper is so easy to use. I also love how it is easy to store and take on the go. I travel for work and I must have my coffee at all times. It can easily fit into small spaces. It makes just enough for me.

This system has a little bit of a learning curve. Once I figured it out though, it was pretty simple. It would be a great gift for someone who is really interesting in a coffee making experience. It's probably not the most convenient set up for the person that is used to prepping things the night before and setting an auto start.
