Q: Why oh why was this coffee pot engineered with the power-on light at the back right rear where you can't see it unless you look around back?
A: Meanwhile, just place something reflective behind it to save yourself the trouble of turning the machine around.
submitted byReba - 1 year agoA: Agreed, poor safety design.
submitted byDaisy - 1 year agoA: If you get it from the Bezos store, the switch is on the front. Same brand, same size, slightly different design and more expensive there, but I prefer the front switch.

Q: will my current 8-12 cup size paper filters fit in the basket? or are they too big?
A: Hello, thank you for your response. If you have a Mr. Coffee 5‑Cup Switch Coffee Maker BVMC‑PC05BL2-NP, it uses small basket‑style filters for 4–6 cups (or its included permanent nylon filter), not the larger 8–12 cup filters. So your 8–12 cup paper filters will very likely be too big; they won’t sit properly in the basket. For best results, you should use: #1 or #2 cone filters (depending on the basket shape) OR The Mr. Coffee 5-cup basket-style paper filters (specifically made for small coffee makers) If you have anymore questions, please reach out to us directly via our official Mr. Coffee website contact-us page, and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you and have a good day! Mr. Coffee Consumer Care

Q: I measured and set up machine with basket in the proper position. Water does not fully drain from filter and leaves a mess in the basket. Why is this happening? Is it a faulty machine?
A: Having the same issue and have checked the basket and carafe position to make sure that’s not the problem.
submitted byAppalgal - 1 month agoA: Hello Daisy. Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. For a possible fix, please check if the filter basket is inserted correctly and the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. Also, try using standard coffee grounds and avoid overfilling the coffee basket. Lastly, make sure not to remove the carafe from the warming plate for more than 30 seconds while brewing. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd kindly request that you contact us directly so we can determine the best resolution. Have a good day! Mr. Coffee Consumer Care
