Had it for less than 6 months and it started smoking whenever used. cleaned it thoroughly but still. can't return it anymore because it's over 90 days. paid less than $20 so you get what you paid. Spend your money on a better one.

Inconsistent toasting
I purchased this based on its high ratings to replace a similarly basic cuisinart toaster which served us well for 20 years or so but whose arm finally died. We’ve been really disappointed in the inconsistent performance of this toaster; one side of the bread tends to be darker than the other and it will over toast certain parts of the bread. Unfortunately threw away the box so I guess I paid $25 for the use of an underachieving toaster for 2 months as I’ll be replacing it.

Sad Excuse for a Toaster
Would NOT recommend this toaster. It is the cheapest, most lightweight, excuse for a toaster I have ever seen. It toasts unevenly and bagel mode does not work. Whoever made this and decided to pass it off as a toaster should be ashamed.

Terrible. Spend the extra $5 elsewhere.
I wasn’t impressed with this from day one, the only toasting is between the two darkest settings, the rest leave the bread still soft. You can put an eggo down twice when it’s in the central temp. Then I tried bagel mode in a bun. And burned a bun. Because bagel mode doesn’t do anything. I’d love to say it was broken, but I’m assuming that’s just how it is. I have had this for approx. one month.

DO NOT BUY. Worst toaster I’ve ever owned. It broke within a few uses. The metal piece inside that holds up the bread got turned/broken so the bread kept falling into the toaster and getting stuck. Oster sent me a replacement that did the same exact thing. Ewa from Oster Customer Service was not helpful after two broken toasters and Target Customer Service was not helpful either. Don’t waste your money on this junk!

12/01/2025: First piece of advice is plug it in and run it without anything in a few times. This gets rid of any odors coming from inside, and it's bound to have because of newness. After this, the little toaster works as it should. Sides and bottom of toaster get warm but not hot. For $20, it is just fine and everything that I expected.

Plastic Not Stainless Steel
The product description says “Designed with a sleek black stainless steel finish…” When I unboxed the one I bought, I discovered the exterior was black plastic. Because of the plastic exterior, I am afraid this toaster would be a fire hazard and will not use it. Looks like I’m out $30 and still don’t have a safe, usable toaster.
