Q: I have an air fryer (not this brand) that has the coating of the basket flaking off. Will this one do that?

A: Yes it will. And it does. I've owned several Gourmia air fryers and the basket flakes and the grill plate. Customer service is helpful, but the problem persists. No matter how gentle you clean or avoid using oils or sprays, it keeps happening.

submitted byBizzyRae - 1 year agoA: Yes - the basket flakes. I have never put food directly on any part of the air fryer, but rather use aluminum foil and I have never put it in the dishwasher. It is very dangerous and unhealthy!

A: I use liners in the basket that way your food doesn’t touch the basket and you don’t have to worry about flaking.

A: I’m not sure why you can't use the parchment paper but I do know you shouldn't use it with nothing in it to cause a fire. If you use it in a regular oven then why not an airfryer?

this is very nice air fryer. I have cooked chicken wings, hamburger, chicken. Came out juicy. never again will I use the oven or the stove to cook these items. On the front you can pick out what you are cooking. just press the button and it will pre heat and let you know it is time to put your item in and let it cook also it will also let you know when to turn it over..You can see in the window in front so you can see also there is a light you can turn off. to clean it I just put it in the dishwasher. and it came out nice. the only thing I don't like is water gets the middle of the glass. and you can't the water off.
