broke, bad design
lid/latch broke within 4 months, warranty service is terrible. never did like the design -- it breaks down into way too many pieces and cheese gets stuck in the lid. skip this one.

It can chop but not good as a shredder/slicer
Comes in pretty colors and love how the lid opens, and the shredding and slicing disc, but it is pretty worhless because so much food gets stuck in the huge area between the disc and top of the machine. There is a good unnecessary inch of space in that area that just makes a big mess.

Wish I could give it a zero. Motor burned out after less 6 months. Very disappointed in the quality. KitchenAid used to be one of the better brands - not sure what's happening with their products

UPDATE: I HAVE SENT MANY EMAILS TO THE EMAIL-ID IS PROVIDED IN THE REVIEW REPLY, BUT NO RESPOND YET. NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE OF MY EMAIL FOR WEEKS. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. I so disappointed as my 7 Cup plus food processor stopped working all sudden in less than a year of use. I don't know why the quality of kitchenaid products have gone down so much. I wish they work on making better quality products verses creating new line of products. I have owned many other brands small appliances but was a big fan until now. I tried to reach by email, no reply yet.

This processor is not good. I made chai tea concentrate and it wouldn't chop the star anise, ginger or the cardamom pods. It didn't chop any of it. Not worth the money. spend the extra and get a Cuisanart!

Ease of use and cleanup
Actually, just purchased and used for the first time but am very happy with the layout and ease of usage and cleanup. I obviously can't speak to the long-range durability, but this seems like a very well thought out and well-built product and I'm looking forwards to years of great use. Kitchenaid 7 Cup Processor
Kitchenaid 7 cup food processor disappointed me. Having purchased the Kitchenaid stand mixer from Target - a high quality machine - I was surprised by the difference in the food processor. I liked the small footprint but the food processor was flimsy, shaky in use, the food bowl lifted from motor base. The Kitchenaid food processor in my view was poor quality. No clear instructions on use, just a small picture book. With sharp blades this should be a high priority. I watched videos to get info on operating it. So very sorry to return. It may work for some but not for me. It was easy to put lid onto bowl, just set and hear the lock click, but the. Bowl easily tilted off base.

Limited life span
I used to love this little food processor, but after owning it for a little over a year, the handle broke, and KitchenAid doesn’t offer a replacement bowl for purchase. This feels irresponsible in terms of the environmental impact.

Disappointed
After some months since purchasing the 7 cup processor, I shy away from using it. It's difficult to assemble, parts are not fitting well, it's quite heavy, but most of all it's gutless. There doesn't have enough power to produce the speeds necessary to do its job. Not the usual Kitchenaid quality I'm sorry to say.
