The main differences between this TV and the 50BA are that this model has higher audio and picture quality, and a different design with a slimmer frame. This TV also offers an additional HDMI port (four in total), a composite input, and headphone input. Most notably, this Select Series model also includes an Ambient Light Sensor (ALS), which automatically adjusts brightness based on room lighting, a feature the 50BA model does not have. Q: I have a old flatscreen where the sound bar connects through an auxiliary port. How do you connect a sound bar to this TV?
A: Hello Dan, That's a very common question, as new TVs have moved away from the old auxiliary (aux/headphone) port for soundbars. The Roku 50" Select Series 4K TV offers several modern and superior ways to connect a soundbar, but it most likely does not have the old 3.5mm auxiliary port.
