Terrible Stability
The feet on this TV are horrendous. They wiggle and the TV is not stable. Cheap. The picture quality and screen size are very good for the cost of the TV which is why I rated it a three.

Awesome 40in Roku fhd select series tv.
I love the tcl tv but hate that they changed from Roku to google format TCL with Roku was very easy to setup easy to navigate beautiful picture quality and sound it was an awesome tv but the Roku tv is very good so far hope they don’t mess a good thing!

PSA FOR SCREWING THE LEGS ON
The TV itself is great. However the legs are tricky. There is no threading for the screws to screws into, they are the type of screws that make the threading so simply screwing the legs in using a screwdriver wasn't enough. We had to take the screw and use a drill to pre make threads before attaching the legs. That's the trick. Take your drill and drill the screw into the hole first, take your screw back out and then put the leg on and use the drill to tighten the screws. After crashing out over that I was otherwise happy with the picture and sturdiness.

There are better options out there within the same price point. Beware: if you plan on using the little “tv feet” stand it comes with the screws don’t thread correctly and only cinch down half way. This will leave the tv floppy and unstable. I left the screws cross threaded flipped tv upside down pressed them in all the way and dumped krazy glue in the pocket the stands are seated in. This is the only way I could seat the tv properly. If you plan on hanging it then whatever. It’s a cheap tv, it works. Same size TCL $30 more 10x better. This is a public space tv. Belongs in an airport or something. Maybe a waiting room.

Built-in Roku not up to snuff.
This TV has very nice color and sound quality. However, the Roku streaming engine is very poor. It has to be reset frequently to resolve a series of issues that indicate that it may not have enough resources (CPU, memory, etc) or a buggy code set for its streaming tasks. Given the issues I'm having, I wish I'd invested in a dumb TV and stuck with my external Roku that I had to restart much less often.
