A: The Qwirkle game is a tile-based game and each tile is 1.25" x 1.25". Each game will be different depending on the tiles laid. It does take a fair amount of space once you start playing. It would take more space than 10" x 18" to play. We do offer a travel version that might be better for a smaller space.

Poor game
This game was very confusing and it started a lot of fights over the interpolation of the rules. We played with 6 adults 2 people have masters degrees and all college grads. Not a fun or easy game. 2 people quit playing Avoid at all costs.

Wonderful Game, Quality Has Declined
This game is a wonderful family favorite, and it has become the first choice at get togethers. It has easy rules, but it’s always different and challenging. I bought this set as a replacement for one we accidentally left behind at an Airbnb. The original set was very high quality-the wooden tiles had weight to them and were perfectly painted. It got lots of use over a year and it held up wonderfully. This more recent set is lacking in quality and workmanship-the tiles are now very lightweight, the printing isn’t as nice, and there is so much varnish/gloss on the tiles that they all stuck together and were damaged when we separated them. My entire family noted the significant difference in quality. So, while the game will remain a favorite, the poor quality is disappointing.
