[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The most convenient hair tool I’ve ever used. Both the curling and straightening capabilities are pretty good. I am able to store this tool so easily due to the folding. The barrel size is perfect for curls, and the tool barely takes anytime to heat up. The only thing I would add is that it makes a weird noise, but it’s only bad because you are holding it up to your ear! Good tool for its value!

I have naturally wavy hair, so I love using the straightener mode to smooth out my hair, and being able to quickly switch over to the curl mode to add some volume throughout and style my ends, without having to wait on another styler to heat up.

I’ll definitely be bringing this with me when I travel. It provided a great amount of volume and shine. I couldn’t really test out the frizz claims because I had to take pictures in a humid climate. It’s so easy to switch back and forth between the styling settings. Overall, such a great styling tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Conair 2-in-1 Styler in exchange for my honest review. I have mixed but somewhat positive feelings about this styler. It’s clearly optimized for travel which is great but I think the performance and usability suffers a bit as a result. I love that it folds up for easy portability, it fits great in my suitcase. It has two heat settings and an easy to use button to switch between the curl and straighten functions. I believe it’s also dual voltage which is a HUGE plus in my book. I’ve only tried the straighten function and it does work but takes a little practice and maneuvering to get it right. The barrel only opens so far so you can’t fit a ton of hair in between the plates. You also can’t touch the outside of the barrel as it does get hot even when you’re just using the straighten function so you’re relying on the pressure of the closed plates to straighten the hair (which is minimal). I found that I’d have to go over a section a couple of times to get it just right and I did have to be careful about how I released it at the ends to avoid getting a kink at the end. I tried both the low and high heat setting and for my thicker, slightly wavy hair I would use the high heat setting. It does work well as you can see so I will continue using it but would make sure to include a caveat if I was recommending to a friend. I’m excited to try out the curl function when my hair grows out a bit!

I like that the temperature can be set for what type of hair you have and of course the flexibility of straightening or curling your hair in one tool! Would definitely recommend.

The tool itself feels pretty heavy, which made it uncomfortable to use for longer styling sessions. It also didn’t curl my hair very well-any curls I managed to get, fell flat within 2 hours. There’s only two options for heat and even the low setting was extremely hot. Another downside was the noticeable buzzing noise while using it, which was annoying. On top of that it left creases in my hair instead of smooth curls or straightening. The only feature I really liked was the foldable design, which makes it convenient for traveling. Overall the performance wasn’t there for me.

As someone who travels a lot, this feature, along with the ability to shift between a curling iron and a flat iron, makes it easy to bring on the go, and it’s also easy to store when not in use. I also love that it has an automatic shut off feature, which gives me a peace of mind when it comes to safety. Finally, the product is relatively lightweight, which is nice when you’re using it for a while. One thing that I didn’t like as much was that the plates for straightening didn’t seem to close all the way, making it not work as well for my thicker hair. Also, the curling feature did not work well for me. Instead, it snagged my hair a bit and left it a bit dry in the area I tried it in. Overall, this is a really cool concept for a hair styling tool, though it’s not the best option for my hair specifically. I could see it being a game changer for those with hair that isn’t quite as thick or textured, though.

It also folds up when you are done so it’s great to take while traveling! It’s sturdy and great to carry. There’s a lock at the back so that you can easily have it folded or opened when using! And locks in the front of the handle to pick if you want to straighten your hair or curl it!

It can be used as curler or straightener, and folding for saving the space. Great addition is dual voltage so you can travel with 1 styling tool around the world. It is lightweight and hands don’t get tired during styling hair. It warms up in seconds but cooling takes some more time. The downside for me was only temperature settings. There are only 2 options in which 320 is a bit low for my hair and 400 is high. I wish there would be some middle temperature as well. But overall I like it.

Two heat modes is a great feature, though the buttons to toggle between the heat options are in a spot where I easily pressed during the styling process. The tip of the wand also gets very hot and is not able to comfortably touched to assist in adding pressure to close the wand. This wand was very easy to use, and very lightweight.

As soon as I held it up to my head, I knew something was up as there was a weird buzzing sound coming from the iron. To me, that just doesn’t scream quality. In attempting to curl or straighten my hair, I felt the clamp just wasn’t tight enough on my hair to hold it or really make any noticeable difference. (But somehow it still pulled my hair out??) Maybe I should’ve used the higher temp setting (there’s only two), but it just wasn’t doing anything for me.

It heats up fast and thankfully has a lock setting so that you don’t accidentally turn it off while using. The curling iron feature works seamlessly (I’m definitely still learning how to curl my own hair properly) and the fact that you can switch to the hair straightener with the click of a switch is such a game changer. Because of the round barrel, even in straightening mode you can use it to create some interesting waves or add volume. It’s also great for travel so you have multiple tools in one product. I think this is an awesome staple hair tool and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

I love that it has multiple temp controls, so you can control how hot you want it to be! The curl part works really well and I was pleased with the results. However, I did feel like the straighter portion wasn’t quite as effective. It still gets the job done, so I will still be taking it on my next vacation in a few weeks! That fact that it folds up will be really handy as well! I would still recommend this product if you wanted something for travel or are short on bathroom storage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to say it but I hate this styler. It had so much promise. When I took it out of the box, I was super excited. The mechanism of how it switches between curling iron and flat iron was really cool, and I liked how you could fold down the handle so that it stores smaller for travel. The first issue that I ran into was that it doesn't balance towards the handle when you lay it down. Instead, it tilts to the top of the tool, where it barely sits away from the surface that you put it on on a tiny bump of plastic. I don't like this. It's lightweight, in a kinda-cheap kind of way in this aspect. I opted to straighten my hair with it when trying it out. This is where I ran into my biggest issue with the tool. When clamping my hair in the flat iron part, it would catch other hair in the curling iron part and then pull my hair out. Awful. On top of that, it took an excess of passes to get my hair flat. I could hear it sizzling even though it was dry. I will not be trying to curl my hair with this, I don't want to put it near my hair again. I guess this could work in a pinch, but I would never recommend.

It is not for me, I got slightly burned the first time using it. I have always used a flat iron to straighten and curl so I thought this would be just as easy to use for better curls but I was wrong. It is not ergonomical, hard to manuever. I could not get close the the edges without creating a crease. The entire tool is hot even when in straightener mode, so this is why my hand got a small burn. I like that it can fold for travel but it's not something I actually need. I'm returning it and trying something different. Might be great for someone who is more accustomed to using a curling iron and doesn't need to smooth out their hair as much as I need to.

The curling portion is great and the actual tool heats up very quickly, but the straightener part is so tiny and difficult to use that I just end up using a normal straightener most days. I find it pretty difficult to straighten near my scalp with this without getting burned. I do like it for small front pieces or for my bangs, though! I also love that I can just bring this when traveling and not have to lug around two separate tools.

The barrel size is good for loose waves, but they also didn't hold in my hair very long (not necessarily the tool's fault). It also has a fairly short barrel, which made curling long hair difficult. While this hot tool wasn't bad, it is slightly annoying to work with.

With how this product ionizes hair to help combat that it has left my hair with a nice shine and beautiful straight hair. It is easy to wipe down and great compact for traveling.

It is a very simple iron and only has 2 heat settings compared to others I have used. I do like how my curls came out but it did take quite a while to preheat which is why I took a star off.
