Has a manual with good instructions and the coffee maker is easy use. There is what sounds like a very small piece of plastic loose inside the coffee maker as it is rotated.

Great for compact spaces. Using for work office. Work good so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome brewer. I love that it is so slender. It is not bulky and literally takes up very little counter space. It is very easy to use and it heats up quickly. We use the refillable k-cup each time to brew a cup of coffee. It is a dual brewer though so you do not have to use kcups. I highly recommend this brewer.

I think one of the best features is being able to either use k-cups or coffee grounds. Sometimes it’s hard for me to find flavors I like in the cups so it is definitely handy. Not much to the design, just sleek and basic which works for me.

It brews strong or regular coffee, it can use pod packs or fresh ground coffee, and it brews any size from a standard size cup to a travel mug. It is very fast, easy to use, the price is right, the size is perfect for small spaces, and the coffee is hot and delicious.

Easy to Use: I appreciate there isn’t a huge learning curve from “box” to counter. After quickly reviewing the instruction manual, I was set to make my first cup of coffee. Flexible Options: I love that the FlexBrew has an option for using individual coffee pods or ground coffee. I use both in my house, but often times I run out of one or the other. With the FlexBrew Dual Coffee Maker, I can still have my coffee. Smart Design: Other things I appreciate about the FlexBrew are the size/shape and smart storage design. The FlexBrew does not take a lot of space and is low enough to be tucked under a cabinet when not in use. The coffee pod and coffee filter are two separate inserts that are interchangeable; while not in use, they are tucked away and out of sight. The FlexBrew Dual Coffee Maker is a great non-fussy choice for those who enjoy an easy, convenient cup of coffee. I use mine every morning. It’s a great addition to my coffee bar when I have house guests because we can all have a fresh cup of coffee when we want it.

It gives me the flexibility to make specialty coffees and flavors using pods, or a simple cup of coffee from the grounds we already have. I am not a coffee drinker at all, so having this is great for when we have company and I can make them whatever flavor they want and not have to make an entire pot full at one time. It is super easy to use and takes up very little room on the counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FlexBrew Dual Coffee Maker is a nice size machine, not too small and not too big. It's also a nice-looking machine. I love that on the side of the machine you can control the strength of the coffee, bold or regular. Also, on the same side of the machine it shows you how little and how much water. It has levels from minimum, ouches and maximum. I love that you have an additional part to add coffee grounds, which you can store under the cup holder. I used both options, the KCup and the coffee grounds. Both made a great cup of coffee. It takes a minute for the water to boil and then once that is done then the coffee starts to brew. It is a little loud but it's only temporarily. I was extremely impressed by the machine, and I highly recommend this product.

It was hard getting used to no tank—just enough water to fill up the mug. But if you only need one cup, it is perfect. It sit right on the counter where its not big and not too small—

This coffee maker is the best one we found for a small one that doesn't use much space.

In the morning rush, I like to quickly fill a tumbler with coffee for my morning commute and the K-cup fits that bill. I love the ability to use my own flavored grounds or a pod . Its also nice to be able to quickly heat a cup of water for tea or cocoa. The ability to decide how much water you need for any particular cup up to 14 oz is very nice. It heats the water very hot so you get a great brewed cup of coffee. I like the ability to make one cup when theres no need to brew a whole pot. Definately an asset to any kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very concerned about where I would have room on my kitchen counter for my new Hamilton Beach Flex-Brew Single Serve Coffee Maker. The photo shows it sitting underneath my cabinet, next to the toaster. I also show how a 24 ounce coffee cup and a 16 ounce carry out cup appear sitting on the stand to brew. I always fill two ounces under to allow room for any add-ins. When I am ready to use it, I just pull it forward. The product information pamphlet must be read ahead of using the brewer. I love the simplicity of use. I can understand the importance of running a clean water rinse after brewing a hot chocolate/cocoa drink. Not only will it clean the machine, it won’t leave an off flavor to your coffee or tea . I clean the ground coffee filter after each use also. I highly recommend this single serve brew machine as convenient and space saver. Clean sleek, smart appearance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As noted in my headline, my 5-star rating is conditional, the condition being one’s subjectivity and preferences. As is the case with all of the Hamilton Beach products that I have, I find that the FlexBrew Dual Coffee Maker is very well made (durable), easy to use, and easy to clean. As advertised, this coffee maker accepts Keurig and Keurig-like pods and also includes a filter basket that accepts ground coffee of your choice. The pod holder and single-serve basket are removable and easily cleaned. The cup rest/basket storage compartment is removable if accommodating a tall mug is desired. The self-contained water reservoir is readily filled: lift the lid, add the desired amount of water guided by the volume gauge on the side of the reservoir. Brewing is quite fast varying very slightly with the amount of water used (up to 14 oz.) I usually make coffee in the Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Professional Programmable Coffee Maker, on its “robust” setting, using a set water/coffee ration. In the attached images, “A” is a backlit image of the final brew utilizing the 12-cup coffee maker; “B” is a backlit image of the final brew utilizing the FlexBrew coffee maker, on its “bold” setting, using the same water/coffee ratio. As you can see, all things being equal, coffee brewed by the FlexBrew coffee maker is half as dark, i.e., half as strong, as coffee brewed by the 12-cup coffee maker. One can, of course, experiment with water/coffee ratios to achieve the brew strength they desire. I do not have a Keurig-type coffee maker so I cannot make the same comparison. The reader should understand that I am, more often than not, impelled by economic considerations than I am by convenience, e.g. I will use this coffee maker with the ground coffee basket, when I desire a single, quick cup of coffee – realizing that I will have to use a combination of more coffee/less water to achieve my preferred brew strength. In other words, the cost of my cup of coffee is going up. And, for me, for occasional use, that’s fine. For others, especially those who regularly use Keurig pods, the added cost is par for the course. Bottom line, an excellent coffee maker that will require an adjustment of the water/coffee ratio (less water/more coffee) to yield a robust cup of coffee.

This coffee maker will brew a great cup of coffee. Like every machine, you will need to determine your coffee grounds to water ratio to suit your taste. I recommend purchasing number 1 cone shaped coffee filters. The mesh in the pod doesn't strain the grounds enough for my taste.

Takes awhile for water to heat up. I do like the brew basket for fresh ground coffee. It is easy to use. I also like that the coffee once brewed is very hot. This coffee maker is very basic and doesn't take up much counter space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple operation, load and go no extra unneeded features just to make a great cup of coffee. I almost always use K-cups but I like the option to use ground coffee and the storage space under the cup rest for the filter is a great feature. The size works well, it doesn’t take up too much counter space and it fits under the top cabinet when not in use. It’s quick, brews a cup of coffee in less than a minute. I am using the same brand k-cup and the same amount of water to brew as I did with my old machine, and the coffee tastes better, is hotter and stays hotter longer once brewed. I tried using the BOLD setting once and I did notice that the coffee was stronger tasting using the same amount of water, also the machine makes a lot more noise using the BOLD setting. I have been more than satisfied with how it brews using the REG setting. I have not tried it using ground coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FlexBrew Dual Coffee Maker is an absolute delight! I prefer to not use prepared single-use coffee cups. Rather, I like to make only one cup at a time, using my own coffee. This coffee maker lets the user brew coffee either way. It has an option button to brew the coffee stronger, which works very well. I can now make a cup of chocolate-flavored coffee, and easily switch to decaf or regular coffee. The coffee maker also lets the user brew using different amounts of coffee, but no more than a large one cup of coffee. The only drawback is the the container in which the coffee grounds can be placed--it is difficult to open. A person with arthritis in their fingers may have a problem. This coffee maker is a keeper and is quickly replacing my 8-cup coffee maker. Thank you Hamilton Beach!
