If the cleaner has been used by mistake with dishes in the cycle, then you should keep the dishes in your dishwasher and run another cycle with normal automatic dishwashing detergent.     Outer film of pod doesn't disolve

    While the cycle was running, you can smell the cleaner throughout the house. I don’t find it to be overwhelming like other reviews state. However, after the cycle the outer shell/film of the pod was stuck all throughout the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. I had to take everything apart to remove it. I had run the cycle on the hottest setting, so I’m not sure why it didn’t resolve. I have no problem with the cascade pods I use for daily washes. I wouldn’t buy again.

    DO NOT BUY!

    DO NOT BUY! Smell is overwhelming even after running a load of dishes. The smell just won't go away. I should have pulled up reviews in store before I purchased. I called P&G to share with their product evaluation team.

    Horrible fragrance adhered to dishwasher & dishes

    The fragrance has permeated my dishwasher as well as my entire apartment. It smells like floor cleaner and so do my dishes. I have tried running it with vinegar, then lemons and nothing has worked. Why in heavens name would you had fragrance. Disgusting

    Overpowering Stench

    Like most dishwasher cleaners, this one is mostly citric acid -- "sour salt" -- which removes mineral deposits. Unlike most dishwasher cleaners, this one will give you a headache. I bought this because the price for three treatments was similar to the other brands' for one. But more is less. Thrown into this is a smell so powerful it induced a biochemical reaction in my forehead. And since using it, the smell has not departed when the dishwasher door is open. Not even the kitchen exhaust fan can remove it. Eventually, it will fade away. And the next time I use a dishwasher cleaner, it will be something else -- and I'll make sure it's unscented. The other two packets in the box area already headed to the landfill. No bargain after all.

    Great product

    We have tried a number of different dishwasher cleaning products and this one is by far the best! My dishwasher looked like new after a single clean. I had cleaned the filter before running the cleaning cycle, but there were many stains that we have never been able to remove. After the running a cycle with the cascade all of the stains were gone. Will not use anything else going forward!

    Works like a charm!

    Not sure why so many saying it has a strong scent..it smells CLEAN and that’s probably what they aren’t use to. Anywho, this worked like a charm! It looked exactly like it did when I bought it! It gets the job done! Will be using every two weeks.

    Overpowering scent

    Terribly strong fragrance! I will never buy this again. I had to run my dishwasher empty 5 more times to get the smell out. If you are sensitive to smells at all, do not buy this. It did clean the dishwasher well but…

    Too perfumed

    Smells way too strong… like that laundry detergent a lot of resellers use that smells like perfume/Pez candy. Smell lasts after subsequent washes. Prefer Affresh.

    Horrible, overpowering fragrance

    I wish I had read the reviews regarding the fragrance before I purchased this product. It is overwhelming, and not in a good way. I tend to be sensitive to fragrances, but my husband, who is not, also found the overpowering fragrance to be offensive. Even after running a cycle with dishwasher detergent the fragrance remained. I have now run a cycle with vinegar and a rinse cycle with baking soda in an effort to get rid of this smell. DO NOT USE THIS if you have any sensitivity to artificial fragrance.

    Throw and go

    I recently used the dishwasher cleaner for the first time. I had never cleaned it before…but was very surprised with how much buildup there must hav been! Looks cleaner, smells fresh and easy to throw and go.

    A nice clean with a lingering scent, if that's you

    While Cascade Dishwasher Cleaner did a nice job of cleaning my dishwasher and leaving the stainless steel shiny, it also left a lingering fragrance that permeated the next several loads of dishes, especially anything plastic. I haven't repurchased, there are other products that clean comparably without the lingering fragrance.

    Fresh scent and work great

    My family has been using these Cascade Dishwasher cleaner for years. These tablets work really well. They leave the dishwasher clean and smell fresh.
