A must have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Mom for 13 years and the scariest times are when your little doesn’t feel good. Taking the temp of a squirmy toddler has always been like wrestling an alligator and the read will never be accurate because they’d squirm away before it was done. Not with this! The Sensian Contact 5 reads their temp in a second or two. No exaggeration. It’s accurate, and so helpful for those super sick days. We’re already worrying a ton we shouldn’t have to worry about if their temperature is accurate. Love the color screen too, it takes the guessing out of things. Green for good, yellow for iffy and red for warning get that little one to the doctors asap. Thrilled with this thermometer and wish I had it years ago!

Easy to use and quick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Forehead Thermometer displays a temperature in two seconds and can be used for children and adults. An interesting feature I haven't seen before is the fever guidance color display. Instead of just displaying the temperature, it also turns red, yellow, or green depending on the range of that number. It's green for temperatures in the 96.4-99.4 range; yellow is >99.4-101.3; and red is >101.3. For babies, I would get confirmation from a doctor about what they would consider a fever, but for kids and adults, these temperature ranges are supposed to be a helpful guideline. I've been using a thermometer that measures the temperature using your ear, and the forehead thermometer was just as accurate. However, it was quicker to display a temperature, easier to place on my kid's forehead than trying to use the ear thermometer, and faster to read the display with the color coded lights. I think this is a high quality thermometer that seems to work well and overall, it's a little easier to use.

It gives a reading in just a couple seconds and I love that I don’t have to struggle or wake the baby up to check her temperature. No having to wrestle with under the arm or in the mouth! The readings have been accurate and reliable, the light up display is bright and the numbers are large and easy to read which is super helpful when checking temps at night. The background changes color according to temperature (green- no fever, yellow- slight fever and red- high temp) This thermometer is well made, comfortable to hold, and gives me a peace of mind when my son's not feeling well. It’s incredibly easy to use—even when you’re dealing with a fussy child or trying to check your own temperature. I didn't have the best luck with this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really want to love this. It has simple enough instructions, and the display and color change on fever level is perfect. I just can't stand behind its accuracy. It needs to be pressed flat against the forehead in between the eyebrows and hold very still. Seems simple enough, but not as easy as others I've tried, and it comes up a different temperature each time. I had to work very hard for it to have an accurate reading close to the one that showed on the thermometer I usually rely on. Nice concepts, but not practical without an accurate reading.

I’ve used several forehead thermometers before, and most of them also function as ear thermometers. This one is strictly for forehead readings, and it takes longer to get a result than others I’ve tried. If you just need a basic, simple thermometer, this could work—especially for adults. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for kids. It is easy to use, and I do like the large display and the color-changing feature that indicates different temperature ranges. But as a mom of a young child, I find myself reaching for a different thermometer, especially when I need quick and accurate readings during a high fever.
