Some pros, some cons, but ultimately returned
Tangle-free roller. 5 out of 5 stars. This was the main reason I picked this vacuum. I have long hair and I'd constantly be untangling the roller on my old vacuum but after several uses, not a single hair was tangled. I considered keeping this solely for this wonderful feature. Suction on single-height large rugs. 5 out of 5 stars. The suction was fantastic. With the old vacuum I'd need several passes on the carpet near the cat litter boxes. This one got it all in just one pass. I could see a difference in all the rugs with this vacuum. Maneuverability- 1 out of 5 stars. This is the main reason for the low rating and my return. It swivels but not very well. It wasn't easy to turn it around furniture. It took more effort to push than my old vacuum which could just be because it has better suction. Suction on multi-length carpet. 1 out of 5 stars. I'm not even talking about huge height differences. One rug blue with some white designs. The white is just a little longer than the blue and in the areas with both colors, the blue doesn't get as clean as the rest of the rug. This was really annoying. Suction on door/floor mats. 1 out of 5 stars. These are just your basic door mats/rugs with some anti-skid on the back but pretty thin. With my old vacuum, I could turn the roller off to vacuum these just fine. You can't turn the roller off here and even at the highest height, the rugs just get sucked in. There is no way for me to clean these unless maybe I had someone standing on the other side to hold it down. I don't have shag rugs but I doubt this would be able to handle those. Emptying canister. 4 out of 5 stars. With just regular dust, it was easy to empty. When I'd vacuumed an area with lots of long hair, I had to reach in and pull some of it out. The hair was sort of wrapped around the inner intake tube (?) in the canister. It wouldn't be a deal breaker if I liked everything else. Size wasn't a problem for me. I'm 5'5 and the height was fine. However, if you're much taller you may find it too short and there's no way to adjust the handle length.

Buy the vacuum
Hands down the best vacuum I’ve ever used. I didn’t know a vacuum could be this good. The amount of dirt and cat hair this thing got out of the carpet was incomprehensible. The first time using it, I had to empty it over ten times (and I vacuum frequently!!) I didn’t even know my carpet was that dirty.

Great for pet owners

The suction power is incredible and It picked up everything with ease when I was cleaning to move. With three pets, I’m used to rollers getting tangled with hair, but this one tackled all the fur without any issues. The headlights were a nice bonus and made a big difference when cleaning under furniture and in darker areas. My favorite feature is definitely the roller brush because it stayed clear the entire time, making cleaning so much quicker and easier. I definitely recommend!!

Great Starter Vacuum for Multi Surfaced Floors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CleanView Max Tangle-Free Bissle vacuum was easy to put together and had incredibly strong suction. The square design made cleaning along side boards easy and efficient. Shifting from hardwoods to carpet was easy with the turn of the knob, but the suction is so strong, my rugs were being pulled up and made a loud noise from the roller bar hitting the rug, so I had to change the carpet level often. The convenience of one machine tackling my hardwoods and rugs meant cleaning all my floors in 20 minutes. The lights helped see under my couch, and helped me make sure I got all the dust in the darker corners. The filters made sure all the dust stayed in the machine, and after one go around my floors, the amount of dust it picked up was crazy. It works great, is a really good, affordable vacuum. I’m docking one star for the difficulty of vacuuming the rugs, and the way it picked it up and made a loud sound from the roller bar hitting the rug. But, it also shows its strength in cleaning. It’s a great value and I’m glad I have it!

Great for hard floors and pet hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CleanView Max Tangle-Free can tackle the MANY types of messes that pop up day to day or are left behind by carefree toddlers (and possibly husbands?) and our beloved pets. The CleanView was easy to assemble right out of the box, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. It is designed to maximize functionality, including the designated spots to store and secure the attachments, a clip to hold the hose in place, and my personal favorite--the Quick-Release Extension Wand. I was most excited to try this feature, as I utilize the wand attachment quite a bit when cleaning furniture (the never-ending Cheerios, bunny crackers, and dried Play-Doh that find their way into the deepest crevices), curtains, ceilings, and even the stovetop. The extension wand made cleaning these surfaces so easy and efficient. I'm on the shorter side, but the longer length of the wand allowed me to access these areas without having to stretch on my tiptoes in order to reach overhead areas, which is not the case with many vacuums I've used in the past. I found the suction power to be more effective on our hard floors than our carpeted floors, as the dirt tank was filled with dog hair after only one use. This could also be attributed to the headlights, as it allowed me to see just how much dog hair had actually accumulated under the coffee table and behind the recliner. Overall, I'd recommend the CleanView Max and will be playing around with the settings more for my carpeted floors.

Love this vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With two dog, several long-haired humans and numerous foster animals at any given time, we cannot vacuum enough…literally. Having a solid reliable vacuum on every floor makes things infinitely more manageable. Whether it’s pet hair on rugs, crumbs on hardwood floors, or cat litter - everywhere - this vacuum tackles the mess effortlessly. The cord is long enough to reach multiple rooms without constant unplugging, and the capacity is huge. It’s also surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver, and the swivel is a nice feature that spares my wrists, saving them for picking up kids that are well past the point of walking independently. What really stands out about this vacuum is how thorough and reliable it is — one pass, and the floor looks freshly cleaned. The dust canister is simple to empty, always a plus for a busy mom!

Excellent suction and light feature

The light is a nice feature and helps to see debris that may otherwise be easily missed. The vacuum is easy to maneuver, easy to empty debris, and design helps to prevent long pieces like hair to get stuck around the wheels and runners. We have hardwood and carpeted rooms as well as a dog-it has worked well on all surfaces and done a great job in vacuuming the pet fur.

Powerful Vacuum that Gets the Job Done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough good things about the ClearView Max Tangle-Free Vacuum. The size of this product concerned me at first that it may be heavy but to my surprise, it's actually extremely light weight. The weight helps it glide effortlessly across any surface. There is an adjustable knob that allows you to change the height of the wheels to make moving from carpet to hard surfaces, a breeze. The product has literally everything you need from attachments to lights. I've already used the extension wand multiple times to get into those cracks and crevices or hard to reach corners. I think the lights on the front really help detect what's in the pathway of the vacuum and after it sweeps across the floor you can see how much it picked up. I have animals and this vacuum is great at picking up those pesky coarse hairs that get stuck in your carper and upholstered furniture. Not having to deal with a brush inside the vacuum where you have to cut off hair, strings, and other yucky particles is such a relief and much more sanitary. It has already proven to be truly tangle-free! The suction is extremely powerful which is my favorite feature about this product and that's exactly what you would expect when you think about what a vacuum is meant to do. I really love that the product looks modern and the wand the has a nice silver finish. Within minutes the canister showed me how much it had already picked up, and it made me realize just how much we don't notice the dust, hair, and debris that are laying on our floors until I was able to see it. The ClearView is living up to its name. You will not be disappointed when purchasing this product!

Slightly above average Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best part about the Bissel CleanView Max Tangle-Free is the suction power and the lights on the front part of the vacuum. I am a mom of little children and those lights made me realize just how dirty my floor actually was!! The lights helped me not leave as much behind. The hose suction power was very useful for getting in the crevices, under kitchen cabinets. However, the hose wand does not easily come out. There is a wand release button and it still seems to kind of stick when I go to pull out the wand hose. That part was disappointing. Another thing, I would change about this vacuum is the manual cord wrapping. It takes longer and kids have troubles wrapping and even unwrapping the cord, whereas some vacuums have automatic cord retracting system, which my family finds very nice. I was glad for the brush attachment on the hose, however I don’t find the spinning attachment as impressive. This is definitely not a light weight vacuum. It’s not terrible to move, but it is not extremely smooth either. I would recommend Bissel vacuums to my friends, however I’m not sure this is the one I would specifically recommend.

Sleek Efficient and Super Suction Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the vacuum arrived, I excitedly opened it up to use. Putting the vacuum pieces together is very quick and easy which I loved. The vacuum has a nice weight to it; not to heavy and not to light. I was excited to use the vacuum because we are a family with long hair and a hairy dog. Random strands of hairs are a constantly in different parts of are home. Let me tell you, the tangle free feature is FANTASTIC! Not only is the suction power absolutely perfect but the tangle free feature picks up all the hair without any issue! One of my favorite features is the detachable long hose vacuum option. This bad boy reaches high up and above my ceiling fans which makes cleaning quick and easy! No more ladders for me to clean hard to reach places. The headlights are a wonderful feature in assisting to help see particles I would have completely ignored. The clear view chamber is amazing in letting me see how much filth was picked up. I use it as a cleaning learning moment for my little girls. Because, why not? They love seeing all the "yucky" particles swirl into the clear chamber. The look of the vacuum is sleek. My only negative is I wish it wasn't to bulky. Maybe something a little more compact with the amazing suction power it already has. Also, the vacuum is not cordless but makes up by having a very long cord. Extra points for the long cord. All in all this vacuum is perfect for anyone looking for amazing suction power (which by the way is adjustable by moving the head of the vacuum up and down), sleek design, headlights, and a clear reusable degree chamber. Just empty out the chamber in the trash (another great feature) give it a good wipe down and your free to continue your cleaning adventures.

Great for Pet hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this new Bissel vacuum. I love the bag less design and long cord. It seemed to have great suction on my hard floors and picked up sand from both low pile carpet and hard floors with ease. It was relatively easy to move but obviously a bit more cumbersome than my stick vacuum. I like this for a deeper clean however the corded design isn’t ideal for quick messes or my kids to use. I love that it has a large tank and seems very durable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with this CleanView tangle free vacuum cleaner. Right out of the box I noticed how light weight this is, yet still felt sturdy with a high end appearance. For the price I feel the overall value is great and performs just as well as expensive models. The suction power is strong picking up pet hair and crumbs from both carpet and hardwood with minimal passes. I was surprised with how well it handled messes near baseboards not leaving debris. The headlights are a feature that I didn’t expect to be necessary but feel as tho they may be a game changer. Being able to see in darker hallways, under and around furniture made me feel confident with the cleaning. The tangle free brush roll…. With long hair in the home I was shocked there was no hair wrapped around the bar and bristles. Very cool as I won’t be needing to waste time cutting hair off! My favorite features would be how lightweight it is and the length of the cord. It is easy to carry upstairs and move around without feeling bulky. Overall a great vacuum that makes cleaning quick and effortless. Would recommend for a home with kids and pets.

Bissell Clean View Max
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Bissell Clean View Max for over a week now and I am a bit underwhelmed. It works great on my carpeted floors but does not do well on my hard floors or rugs. I have tried the different settings it has and none have worked well. I had high hopes because I do like the LED lights and I thought it was a great feature but I haven't found the light that helpful for the carpet. I have two small kids and a golden retriever so I feel like my vacuum needs to be a work horse for different surfaces. This vacuum works well enough but does not meet my needs particularly.

Game Changer for Cleaning with Pets and Kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the CleanView Max Tangle-Free vacuum! The design is great — it’s lightweight, easy to use, and I love that I can actually see what I’m cleaning through the clear canister. The headlights are an amazing feature- I’ve never had a vacuum with lights before and I am obsessed. They make such a big difference, especially in darker areas or under furniture. Even in bright rooms, they help me see all the little dust and hair I would’ve totally missed before. The suction power is awesome. I have three toddlers and two dogs, so messes are pretty much constant — rice, pretzels, crumbs, you name it. This vacuum picks everything up easily, whether I’m using the main brush or the hose. My favorite feature has to be the pet hair brush. It actually gets my dogs’ hair out of the carpet! With my old vacuum, I always had to go over things again with a lint roller, but not anymore. It’s such a relief. I also love that all the attachments fit neatly on the side so nothing gets lost. My only small wish is that the motor could detach from the floor part, just to make cleaning stairs a bit easier. Overall, this vacuum has been amazing — strong suction, great design, and super helpful features for a house full of kids and pets. Highly recommend!

An amazing and versatile vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t normally get very excited about cleaning, but this vacuum is really cool! As a busy parent, my house gets pretty messy. This vacuum has amazing suction power to get up all of the dirt and dust I should’ve vacuumed up last week. The headlights on the front are great for seeing under the couch so I don’t vacuum up socks or anything else! The design and look are very modern, which is a style I like. I have a love/hate thing going on with the clear dirt tank - I love to see how much it’s picked up but also how is there that much dust in my carpet?! Cleaning out the dust tank is super easy and I love that it’s washable too! And the brush on the bottom is removable and crazy to clean too, which I appreciate as someone with long hair that tends to gum up the works! I think my favorite part is the removable wand with the attachments, especially the dusting brush/crevice tool. It’s so easy to take out the wand, put on the attachment, and get to stuff like my baseboards or between the wall and furniture. My only negatives are that it is a bit heavy, but I don’t mind because I think that adds to the suction power! Listen, I know it’s weird to be excited about a vacuum but this one is really great and has a lot of really helpful and useful features. I highly recommend it!

Dirt Be Gone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am totally sold on the Bissell CleanView Max Tangle–Free upright vacuum. When I pulled it out of the box, it was so easy to assemble. With a couple of clicks into place, it was ready to tackle my house. The design is surprisingly lightweight, which makes it so easy to carry up the steps. I really liked how the handle swivels as you guide it over the carpet. But, my favorite feature was the light that projects out of the base of the vacuum. It is so satisfying to see the dirt and dust that is going to disappear as you sweep over it! A dial on the vacuum’s base can be turned to adjust the height for the carpet or wood floor that you are sweeping. I would probably prefer this dial being located higher up or adjusting automatically so that I don’t have to bend so low to change it. Because I have two cats, I like attaching the Turbo Eraser Pet tool to the hose to clean my couch. It picked up the hair nicely, although the vacuum would start tipping over from the hose’s back-and-forth action and pull against the vacuum’s lightweight base. It made me literally smile when I emptied the dirt tank and saw the amount of dirt and hair that I had collected from my house. What a good feeling! I definitely will be getting the CleanView Max Tangle-Free upright vacuum as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Otherwise…she’ll try to take mine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid vacuum from a reputable brand at a fair price point. Here’s my breakdown. What I like about this vacuum: It’s is lightweight and easy to put together straight out of the box. It maneuvers well around furniture, and the led lights truly make a big difference when looking for hidden crumbs. It’s very easy and mess free to empty. You just push a button. It also comes with two washable filters which is convenient. The design is simple and it doesn’t come with a ton of useless accessories. The two it comes with are very functional. The wand feature is so convenient and detaches quickly. Things I don’t like so much: Although it is easy to transition from flooring to carpet by turning a dial, I found the vacuum struggling to clean my hardwood floors. It really didn’t work on them. The suction is just ok. If you have a high traffic home like me (2 pets, 2 kids, 2 adults in a small space) I don’t think this vacuum would cut it. It would work ok as a second vacuum or quick mess since it’s so light and simple. I’d say it’s more suited for a single person or couple with no pets.
