This is my first pair of AirPods, and to be fair my first pair of earbuds or headphones in probably a decade. Here’s what I don’t like: Sometimes the sound cuts out a little bit and I have to put them back in their case and leave it closed for a moment so the sound will work properly again. Usually the sound quality is great, but that does happen fairly often. They’re comfortable enough, I honestly expected better from $120 earbuds but they work. I probably won’t buy AirPods again just because of the comfort. They’re already at the max range of how much I’m willing to spend on earbuds, and I’m not spending even more just to have apple-brand earbuds that are actually comfortable. Maybe it’s operator error, but I literally cannot figure out how to make the “buttons” do what I want. It’s neat how they stop playing when I take them out of my ears though, that makes them great for work. What I do love about them: The battery life. Holy cow. I received them 4 weeks ago today and immediately charged the case and earbuds fully before even pairing them with my phone. Just today, the case reached 1% battery life. The AirPods themselves are still both around 80%. For reference, I’ve typically used them about 20-25 hour per week. I am insanely impressed with the battery life! However, next time I want to purchase earbuds, I’ll explore other brands. I would rather charge every day than have the discomfort and sound issues that these do.
