A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Amazon Echo Show 8 (2025) The Amazon Echo Show 8 (2025/4th Generation) itself does not come with "unlimited photo storage" as a built-in hardware feature. Instead, your storage capacity depends entirely on your Amazon account type. The "unlimited" benefit is tied to Amazon Prime, not the device. Here is how the storage works for the Echo Show 8 in 2025: 1. The Prime Membership Factor With Amazon Prime: You get unlimited, full-resolution photo storage through Amazon Photos. You also get 5GB of storage for videos. You can upload as many pictures as you want from your phone or computer, and they will all be available to display on your Echo Show 8. Without Amazon Prime: You get 5GB of total storage for photos and videos combined. Once you hit that 5GB limit, you cannot upload more photos to display on the device unless you delete old ones or pay for a storage plan (starting at ~$1.99/month). 2. The "Photos Edition" Discontinuation Previously, Amazon sold a specific "Echo Show 8 Photos Edition" that came with a PhotosPlus subscription and extra storage, however Amazon has discontinued the PhotosPlus service and the dedicated Photos Edition hardware. This means that all Echo Show 8 models now function the same way. If you want to use the device as a dedicated photo frame, you must now say, "Alexa, start Photo Frame," which will run your slideshow for up to 3 hours before the screen returns to the standard home rotation. Upgraded echo

The set up of it was easy as most Amazon products are. The speaker is also an upgrade with louder clearer sound. Definitely seems like it will uphold for awhile & worth its value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so cool I love everything about my gifted echo 8 im so excited even my kids we love the web cam and camera we took so many photos already the speaker is crisp and loud enough the design is so elegant and fits my decor for where it will ultimately be place which is in my book room ❤️. I love how you can customize so many different areas and add each family member for it to recognize who's asking to make sure its contents are appropriate. Connecting my phone and my govee lights around my house was a quick and easy set up.

The screen is huge and it has so many cool features. I like the new Alexa voice. It sounds more real. I also like that you can talk more naturally to it than older Amazon devices. I’ve had it set out on my desk and my pictures just scroll through all day and it makes me so happy. I love it!!

I love my Amazon Echo Show 8!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set the Echo Sho 8 up in my kitchen. It was very simple to set up. Took all of my information from my Prime account and connected to my WiFi instantly. I love that I can ask it to show me recipes, for example, chicken, and it brings up several recipes I can choose from and save to my library. I am able to watch Prime Videos and Netflix movies/shows, the sound is amazing, crystal clear, the screen is big and the colors are wonderful, quality of the screen is great. I’m still learning everything it can do but so far I’m very pleased with it. I’d give it 5 stars.

Good Enough
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the product for a few days and it has been fun trying out and learning about the different features. I do own other echo products, and the Show 8 seems to have the same features plus some. Pros: - I really like the large display. Pictures are clear and bright. I was able to watch some shows without lag and good quality. - The speaker is very loud. I enjoyed listening to music on full volume. I also appreciate the buttons on the side, makes it easier to control when I don't want to ask Alexa. There is also the usual DND button. - Alexa is more intuitive. There is "follow-up" mode which makes "talking" with Alexa more natural. I can prompt her awake once and be able to make multiple requests as needed. Cons: - I used the drop in feature and the video quality could be better. - There is an option to disable the camera but I would prefer to have a physical shutter over the camera itself. - The screen can be laggy at times when switching through screens. Overall, it's a helpful and intuitive productive. I would like a but more personalization when it comes to the home screen (such as making my calendar a default) but that's just me. Sounds quality is excellent, as well as the display when it comes to watching videos and the screen itself. Alexa is more intuitive, but I also appreciate the option of "brief mode", where Alexa doesn't talk as much. Not a bad product. 8/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this thing can do anything. The sound quality is amazon for such a small thing. Im in love with this. Play all the music you want. Upload pictures and it will show them in like a slide show. Ask Alexa to purchase something she can. I have an appoinment she lets me know. I can set an alarm it goes off. I tell her to play music at a certain time and it does. Its sports the time the weather the degrees. This does everything. Set a timer it will go off. I can look up recipes and watch them on how to do them. Arts crafts I can ask Alexa and she shows me. This is a nice home add. I feel my privacy is safe with this. The display is nice and clear. Font is good size. Volume goes up and down alot. So I can play my music nice and loud or quit. The camera is nice and crips clear.
