Me and my toddler got really sick and unfortunately my other humidifier broke. I bought this one because it has some good reviews but this humidifier leaked so much water. I had to return it asap. I recommend the levoit brand better!

Worth the purchase-easy to clean
The other reviewers are correct, the reservoir is small—I refill the tank with water every other day. But for me the ability to CLEAN all the parts is more important! Mineral buildup has always been my issue and when I couldn’t clean all the various corners of the machine, I just tossed it. This is the first humidifier I’ve purchased that I could break down the base into separate pieces and thoroughly clean and dry! So satisfied with this machine, I bought a second one just to give to a relative—Buy it!

The older models allowed you to add the Vicks vapor liquid directly to the water. Now you add it to a small reservoir up top which doesn’t work near as well. Because of that, I give this 4 stars as I prefer the older models.

Doesn’t last 10 hours barely lasts 8!
I wish I would’ve looked at the reviews before I bought this. I’m using in a small bedroom and the tank of water barely lasts even eight hours left alone in 10 hours before needing to be refilled. The room is just about 200 ft.² and one tank of water doesn’t even last eight hours. I had the previous model to this one and one tank of water with last 2 to 3 days. Now I need to find another humidifier. Very disappointed in Vick’s design of this!

Really not the worst, and it has some decent features
pros: refilling is easier and tidier than many humidifiers we've had (stable on counter while I put lid on it, and the handle is nice for getting it resituated after filling); it disperses one tank's worth overnight (which is exactly what we want to happen); it can actually be disassembled enough for cleaning (filters on other machines used to get gross fast). cons: hadn't expected the nearly 1/4" of white scale built up after about 6 weeks of overnights in our average-hard water (but I should have, and besides, it came off completely with a soak in dilute citric acid); LED is way too bright for bedroom at night (they all are), and you probably do need to use distilled if you aren't ready to deal with how tap water can be. This humidifier definitely beats many alternatives... and I'd probably buy again if it were under $30. $45 seems high.

It had been opened. I decided on a small one since a lot of the reviews mentioned it getting moldy. This way If the small cheap one gets moldy I can just throw it away. Kid that did return seemed to be bad mood.

Worst humidifer ever
Bought two of these, one humidifier worked fine, the “on” green light worked on one and the other one did not, so the only way of knowing that it was turned on is if I put my hand over the part where the mist comes out. I went back to target to do an even exchange for the same exact model and the second one also didn’t even power on or let out a mist! I do not recommend buying this product.

I’ve purchased this product twice, assuming the first one failed because of something I did. It turns out the product itself is faulty. The instructions say to use distilled water—or even to mix distilled and regular water—but the device only works with regular water, which causes hard-water buildup much faster. The humidifier rarely turns green (which indicates it’s working properly). Most of the time, it shows a red light and stops functioning altogether. After two failed units, I now have to buy a humidifier for the third time, but I’ll be switching to another brand.

I bought this Vicks humidifier, paid full price for a brand-new item, and Target sold it to me as if it were new. It arrived used, dirty, and even had hair and fur inside. And if they’re going to sell me a used item, then at least offer a discount, because it’s not fair for me to pay for a new product and receive something used, dirty, with hair, fur, and water-stain marks. It was even dirty on the top, as if someone had rubbed Vicks ointment all over it. I don’t have an issue with the Vicks device itself, because I haven’t even tried using it yet. I believe it probably works fine. But I am extremely dissatisfied with what Target did — selling me a used item at the price of a new one. This is unacceptable.
