Q: Does this have any heat protectant in it? I am new to caring for my waves and have been diffusing on cool/warm anyway but my hair is quite damaged from bleach so I’m trying to help it as much as possible, thanks!

A: Thank you for your interest in Rizos Curls! Rizos Curls Curl Defining Cream is a moisturizing curl definer that is a medium weight that will give hold, shine, and definition to your curls. It is perfect for your 2c/3a curls! Just remember, with fine curls that weigh down easily, less is more. When applying, you will section your hair into 2-4 sections, applying a dime/nickel amount of product to each section. Rake in cream from about an inch below the root to the ends. Scrunch section to encourage curl pattern. Repeat on each section. Diffuse on medium heat & speed to lock in curl definition. For increased volume, be sure to diffuse hair upside down to dry roots off the scalp. Our Rizos Curls Curl Defining Mousse is another great option to give you the same hold, shine & definition but as a weightless styling foam. I tend to need more moisture in the colder months and use the Curl Defining Cream. In the spring & summer, my curls love the hydration of the Curls Defining Mousse. Same results, 2 different formulas. Our minis & travel kits are perfect to try! They are generously sized travel bottles that are good for 2-3 uses. Ideal to find the perfect Rizos Routine when unsure.

Holds no shaping ability for my curls
I followed the recommended process, the product did nothing to actually hold my hair, the products didn't mix in hair.Flaked as soon as dry and made my hair a disgusting brittle texture even after rinsing it out of my hair. I am disappointed in my purchase

Soft defined curls. Just one concern.
I recently purchased my first bottle of Rizos Curls Defining Cream, and overall I really like how it performs. It defined my curls beautifully and left my hair feeling very soft and moisturized. The product worked exactly as described.The scent was pleasant when I first applied it; however, as the day went on, I noticed a strange smell developing—similar to when a cosmetic product goes bad. At first, I thought it might have been another product I was using, but after taking a nap with my bonnet on, I realized the smell was coming from my hair.Aside from the scent issue, I truly like the product and how it works on my curls. If this was just an issue with this particular bottle, I would definitely be willing to purchase it again.

Keeps Curls Curling
I am always rushing and very bad with a regular hair care routine but even if I just put this on after a hair wash day, it keeps my hair soft and curly! Minimal frizz, obviously can’t expect it perfect without any gel or mousse or diffusing but honestly it is amazing on its own and does so much.

Too strong a scent
I don't like to walk into a room and have people comment that I smell like I've been laying in the sun with coconut sunscreen. I really love the Curl Defining Cream from Rizos Curls! It leaves my curls super defined, soft, and bouncy without that crunchy feeling. The formula is lightweight but still gives great hold and definition, and the smell is amazing, fresh and clean without being overpowering. I have bleached and dyed my hair and had to cut it so many time because of the damage afterwards because of the trouble of styling afterwards from the thickness of my hair and the dryness. This creme hydrates my ends so well after I get out of the shower to dry my hair. I love that its mulit use wheather on wet or dry hair. I love in addition I dont need to blow dry my hair for times I want to air dry my hair and my curls be more wavy and loose rather than tighter.
