This is fantastic. Its water supply can be either a piped line or a big bottle. I switch it on and off as needed because it quickly produces more ice than I need. On the hottest days, I use ice for my animals, and on those days, my son and I, together with one other person, overload the little ice machine.

This product amazed me with how much ice it produces. It should be noted, however, that it can only fill the trash provided there is enough space. There are sensors that prevent it from producing more ice. It also consistently produces ice. The unit itself is not chilled; it is simply insulated. The ice keeps the remaining ice cool. It can generate enough ice to fill the bin 2-3 times each day, but you must empty it often.

One day prior to its one-year anniversary, this ice maker broke down. Free Village has made a great effort to address the problem. But even after a month of coping with this, our ice maker is still broken. It’s been annoying because we use a lot of ice. Since the control board that Free Village delivered didn’t resolve the issue, we’ve contacted them once more. Our primary takeaway from this experience is to purchase locally and obtain the extended warranty, so we’re thinking of getting another one. However, I believe that the problems would persist despite the extended warranty. Although we undoubtedly overestimated the amount of ice we would require, this machine has been fantastic! We discovered during a large camping trip that the bin can contain roughly 20 pounds of ice, or two 10-pound bags of ice every day. We are huge fans of this machine! Although we haven’t used them yet, we did purchase extra ice bags as a precaution. As a hostess present, I even find myself handing away ice. We have had no problems so far keeping the machine on our back patio in the heat and humidity of Mississippi. To guarantee quality ice, we also installed a drinking hose and filter.
