Odele Curl Defining Gel - 8oz

I like that is simple and smells good and light but the product leaves dandruff looking particle.

This is not a gel, it is a cream and it is too heavy for my hair. Please bring back the Flex Hair Gel! It was the best! The market is flooded with this type of product and there’s nothing for fine haired curlies anymore.

It makes the best gel cast and once I scrunch my curls, they're so defined and not frizzy. This gel defines every curl and still allows my hair to have some volume. It makes my hair shiny without looking greasy, and my hair still feels soft with it. I am on the curly girl method and there are no sulfates, parabens, or other harsh ingredients in this product, so I was able to use it. The scent is natural and very light. It works great on its own, but my hair needs more moisture, so I use a leave-in conditioner. I don't usually apply heat to my hair, but I love that this product has heat protectant up to 450F in case I wanted to. I highly recommend trying this curly defining gel from Odele! It's amazing and has replaced my previous gel in my hair routine.

I had high hopes for this gel, but I was left a bit disappointed. The gel left white gunk in my hair, making it look like I had terrible dandruff. It smelled ok, not like a typical gel, which was nice. The formula didn't hold well, either. It starts to relax within a few hours of my hair drying (following the damp hair application method.) As it relaxes, it actually drags my curls LOOSER. The gel did help with frizz, but otherwise, it really wasn't a great gel for curly hair. Check the before and after on how it did my hair dirty. The relaxed hair is gelled.

It promises no crunchy feeling, and it absolutely delivers on that. My curls feel soft and touchable while still having definition, which is not easy to pull off. The only downside for me is the smell. It's a bit strange when you first apply it. It does fade after a while, so it's not something you're stuck with all day. If you're looking for hold without stiffness, this one is worth trying! Just be prepared for a slightly odd scent at first.
