do not get this.
HORRIBLE. this is the first review i’m writing and i had to write it because how how bad it was. i was originally using the not your mothers hair mousse and i have no idea what possessed me to stray away from it. this hair mousse made my hair frizzy and dry in a way that words cannot describe at this time. i would’ve used the five dollars spent on this product to buzz my hair off if i knew how bad it would make my hair.

"tousle me softly"
This product is not even close to the "tousle me softly" or the totally twisted mousse I have been using up until 3 years ago when these very much loved hair products were discontinued and removed from store shelves! This hair mousse leave my hair hard and crunchy. It is not at all touchable or soft as is indicated in the product review! I have used many other brands since this and none are comparing to the way 'tousle me softly' held my thick head of curls. Please, please bring back this mousse?

Bring back the OG Totally twisted please!
Please please bring back Totally twisted mousse in the old formulation! I used it for 20 plus years, and even when I tried new products I always came back to this. The new formulation is not good. I lucked out last year by buying a value pack online of the old formulation but now I’ve run out. I was hoping you’d take all of our feedback and remedied this by now but it doesn’t appear so. I’m dreading starting the trial and error process of finding a new product. Nothing has compared to totally twisted mousse! It made my hair bouncy, shiny, touchable (not sticky); it was the BEST. I turned a lot of curly haired people onto the old mousse- and I know they loved it too! Please, listen to us and bring it back!!!! Thank you!

Please bring back the Tousle Me Softly mousse! It was the best product for my curly hair. Your new products are not as good. The mousse dissolves in my hand before it ever gets to my hair. Like others have said, now my curly hair routine has to change and I’ll spend $$$ trying to find another product that will work. Please listen to your loyal curly customers and bring back the products that we all loved.

You fixed what wasn't broken
This product is completely useless! It dissipates in your hand as soon as attempt to run it through your hair. Your best mousse production that have been replaced with this terrible formula were Tousle Me Softly, Set Me Up Mousse, Totally Twisted Curl Boosting, and my absolute favorite, Set Me Up.

Reformulated Mousse- thumbs down!!!
I have been using the Original Totally Twisted for 15-30 years (my best guess). It was literally THE BEST mousse for my curly hair. Now reformulated - it is nothing like the old formula and makes my hair dry and sticky feeling and doesn’t hold my curls. Very sad and disappointed. I solely use Herbal Essence products but need to try and find something new. This formula doesn’t cut it! I hope they are listening to their customers- seems like we are all pretty unhappy.

Reformulated
I used to LOVE this mousse then you reformulated it and now when I spray it in my hand it immediately turns to liquid and doesn’t work the same at all. So sad because I can’t find a mousse that works as well as this used to.

Disgusting feeling
If I could give this, zero stars, I would. Compared to the totally twisted this product is disgusting. It feels like you’re putting glue in your hair as soon as you squirt the foam it turns immediately almost a liquid. There is no moose factor. Do not buy this.

This is the best mousse I have used in years. My hair is so soft and so shiny. I have very fine very thin very damaged and frizzy hair. It was trashed and unhealthy. I recently started using your Coconut Oil shampoo AND conditioner. I was amazed at how it repaired and hydrated my hair within one week. Just started using the mousse and wow. It is what I have been searching for. I add going to go out and buy a pallette of this. I'm not lying. The shampoo and conditioner also. My hair has not looked this good in years.

Works for me
I never tried the old formula, but this works really well on my hair. I have coarse, wavy hair and this clumps my waves really well and adds shine. I’ll scrunch a little in if I notice my hair is starting to frizz (using other products) and the frizz vanishes. It is very airy, so maybe that’s why I like it because I’m usually layering it with other things.

I used the totally twisted mousse for years, it always left my curls, soft, shiny and frizz free, this new formula is revolting, it dried the ends of my hair out so badly I had to chop it all off, I will never use herbal essences again

Ruined my curly hair routine.
Like many others you ruined my hair life when changing the formula. Its been couple years now and hundreds of dollars trying to fine a mousse with similar results. I used this mousse and hairspray combo for over 20 yrs. Talk about a mid life hair crisis. Now your mousse is not creamy its like air foam. And no cast. And now it almost doubled in price now that you have to use so much. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
