A: I tap out the grounds and rinse the filter (25 seconds total maybe lol) and then wash out the frothed milk container - again maybe 30 seconds) and wipe off the froth post - 15 sec? so I say 1-2 min

A: Tubing maybe plastic. Hopper that holds the beans is plastic. Trays and catch bins are plastic.

Bean Grinder is Loud
I bought it for my wife for Christmas . We both love it except we cant use it before we go to work without waking up the whole house because the bean grinder is so loud. It would nice to be able to make a cup of coffee before work instead of having to buy a cup. Other than the grinder being loud its a nice machine and would be 5 stars instead of 3.

Just opened on Christmas and so far, so good! Seems very user-friendly. Machine is “smart,” so once you close a type of drink, it’s going to only allow you to do the steps for that specific drink, which I think is a plus. For example, if you’re making a double shot of espresso but have the wrong basket in your portafilter, it won’t work until you put the right one in. We find drinks taste better if you add flavored syrups into your milk before steaming/frothing. We have a Buddy Brew local to us and have gone there for fresh roasted beans. We chose that brand because they’re tasty and also available in stores in a pinch. We wanted to stick to one type of beans because the machine tests them for you and will adjust settings based on your beans. Running the test wastes some beans, though, so we wanted to minimize switching bean types. We get our syrups from HomeGoods for fun flavors at a discount.

Get this! It's awesome. Grinds beans. Makes espresso. Makes drip coffee. Froths milk (dairy and non-dairy). Can give you hot water if you just don't put coffee in it. You can use it for tea. Hot cocoa. Lattes. Espressos. Regular coffee. I love this thing. Maybe it's more basic and for beginners, but I'm not trying to be a pro- I'm trying to make a delicious affordable coffee. And this tastes about as good as any of my favorite coffee spots. I'm a huge fan. I got it on sale for $400, but I'd say even at $500, it's a no brainer. At the regular price, it's still competitive but maybe wait for a sale. This thing rocks!

Faulty design, cant make two cups of espresso at one go.
Design fault. If you want to make two espressos, then you can’t put two cups under portafilter. Just not enough space, giving two spouts to portafilter is of no use.

Coffee Story
I bought a Ninja Café Lux 601 a year ago, it changed my life. I am the only coffee drinker in my house and it is perfect for me. I was using a Nespresso system, but I really wanted to upgrade my skill, for example be able to manually steam my milk, which this unit will do if you read the manual a bit. I learned about coffee balance, found a great local coffee roaster, who might just be my new best friend. I gather, the newer Ninja models are even easier to use, but I get to enjoy the aroma of fresh ground coffee before I make my puck and that is a feature that seems to me, would be sacrificed. LOL. Maybe they could put in a very slow fan that would waft the aroma into the room on their new system, turn on after the grind a before you use the lever to compress the puck. But now I am being fancy-full. Total reliability with daily use. Recommend.

Don't Waste Your Time
Would give zero stars if I could. I was so proud of myself for finally splurging on myself and wanted to love this. The blue color is great, but I’ve wanted so much coffee and have gotten 3 decent cups. I got it so I could brew quads and that is the one I’ve had the most problems with. I calibrate it based on what it says to and follow the directions and recommended grind size, but several shots the water ford to the drip tray and never actually pours from the portafilter. Sadly I’ll be receiving this tomorrow. It also came with a little plastic damage.

Wanted to love
I had been looking at this machine for over a year. I watched many videos This machine, videos about making all different types of drinks. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased it. I was so excited to try it. That excitement was promptly squashed. The auto IQ feature that’s supposed to assist with telling you which grind size to you use is super unreliable. I made sure I had fresh beans (used a “Roasted By” date as suggested on many forums). They are beans that this local coffee shop uses and I purchase from regularly so I know it’s not just their beans. I adjusted the strength, brew temp, experimented with the grind size even when auto IQ recommended something different that I had already tried. I had done the water hardness test prior to starting. Ran through multiple shots to calibrate the machine as suggested. Nothing seemed to help. The coffee came out sour or bitter almost every time. Using the double basket was most consistent, but I truly bought it because of the quad basket and that’s my usual. It seemed impossible to make not only a great cup of coffee, but even an edible one. The cold pressed quad shot was particularly bad. I also found that even though the water tank seemed large for espresso, after about three to four drinks it would be out of water. It doesn’t tell you it doesn’t have enough water to make your selected drink before it starts. So mid brew the “Add Water” light can come on. I also noticed the drop test needs to be emptied rather often too if you’re using the milk steamer every drink.
