I needed a single serve coffee maker and wanted to go with something different. This is a nice pod coffee maker. I should have done more research on it, it only takes Nespresso cups, and although they have many flavor options it can be a bit expensive for a sleeve of 10 from their site. The size of how much coffee that each pod makes can very and I am not big on espresso(I know its in the name). I wish they had a universal pod to make hot chocolate like other pod related coffee machines, but maybe one day it will happen. The machine itself is small and fits well on my counter, but it does make a lot of noise as it is brewing. But overall I am content with my purchase. The blue color is really nice.

Do not buy
Do yourself a favor and do not buy. I’ll be very honest and say that the Vertuo Pods are a game changer and I really enjoy the coffee. However, this machine is just a disaster. After a week of owning I put a capsule into the machine and I noticed when I hit the brew button that nothing was coming out. Sure enough that water and coffee has to be going somewhere. Ended up all over my counter top and flooded the machine to the point that the coffee was dripping out the bottom. I took this back to Target for an easy return and exchange. The new unit now has been used for 3 weeks and I noticed this morning that there was water at the base. I lifted the machine and sure enough coffee poured out of the bottom near the water reservoir connection. After some research this is apparently a common issue in Vertuo Pop+ and NEXT machines. Also, there is a current class action case on file for the NEXT machine apparently for this very issue. It’s wild to go through 3 machines in less than a month of owning. Additionally, my girlfriend bought one as well which came very clearly used. We returned that as well and the new machine seems to be working fine, except, now it started making wild noises and also sounds like a jet is taking off. When I say loud I mean when you brew coffee you need to yell over it to have a conversation or wait until it’s done lifting off to the moon. Note we clean these machines regularly(about every 5 coffees we run a rinse cycle). Also, Nespresso has this very issue listed out in their troubleshooting page of their main website. So please do not buy and stick to an Original machine or if you want a Vertuo get a higher end model that does not have these issues.

We bought this online and did in store pickup, they gave it to us in a banged up box and when we got home and opened it up the coffee machine inside was incorrect, no bubble wrap or anything, just a ripped up plastic bag. Missing various items that were supposed to come with the nespresso machine.

STILL waiting for my replacement machine to be mailed out from Target... I sent the first Nespresso machine back 10 days ago because it was defective and wouldn't even complete the initial cleaning cycle. Hope the replacement machine works better than the first one...if Target ever decides to actually ship it out.
