National Geographic Ancient Egypt Dig

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very hands on and great for kids! My daughter loves to dig outside so this was a great alternative to do indoors. She was so excited when I received it and wanted to get right into digging. Highly recommend for your kiddos!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had fun on our Ancient Egypt dig site today! My son loved this set! He was excited to find more than one artifact in each, although he tried to find a 3rd in the sphinx (I think he just enjoyed the mess lol). We knew this would be messy, so we played outside with it. It is pretty much chalk, which also he enjoyed writing with the chunks on the sidewalk. It served multiple purposes for entertainment. It was fairly easy to use, although I do wish the utensil was a little better. My son found it a little complicated to use, even after adding water. It was just a little hard to get the bricks broke up enough and also the "dusting" end just wasn't really good. We had a hard time cleaning off the artifacts. I even tried to scrub it under water. Other than that complaint, we really loved playing with this set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The excavation set is smalll but practical and easy to explore. My son was delighted his favorite game is hunting for treasure it also comes with an activity book. It is a great educational toy. And the pieces come very well packaged

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute little set. The dig “sites” were a little smaller than I was expecting but my son loved it nonetheless. When they’re smaller it makes it easier and faster to find the treasure inside so it didn’t take him as long to do as I was hoping but he still enjoyed it.

This kit is a fun and educational activity that helps kids learn about Ancient Egypt and archaeology in an engaging way. This instructions are clear and easy to follow. The size is good for an at home activity, and the complexity is just right for kids to enjoy while discovering the pieces. My son has a social studies lesson on Ancient Egypt and really enjoyed this kit. He spent a lot of time on it, was fully engaged, and even wanted to take it to show his teacher. I recommend it for kids who enjoy hands-on learning.

Very fun, not to difficult to dig through. I chose not use water with my siblings for extra challenge, but one of them complained their hands hurt so something to keep in mind. The activity book is very informative and cute.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Presentation box is appealing and clear on what the activity is about. My 6yr old loved it and was really curious on what was inside the bricks. The kit suggests to use water to facilitate the excavation and the brick becomes softer making it easier to dig out the gems. I will suggest protecting the surface your working on as this becomes very messy, we used cardboard on top of our table to protect it. Overall I think this makes a great for kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids absolutely loved these. They so excited to use the tools and dig up their prizes. It kept them busy for a good hour or so. They are 5 and 7 and they were patient and made great progress using the tools and brush to scrape down the fake fossils. They had fun and they love getting messy too. It was perfect for creative ss and I appreciated having them share something. The kids were so excited to see their crystal and their fake pyramid things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 4 who also homeschools, I love activities kits that can entertain my kiddos and get them excited about learning. This National Geographic Ancient Egypt Dig Kit was such a fun way for the kids could do some hands on learning. It entertained them for at least 25 minutes and they now know more about ancient Egypt. The kit came with 2 items to dig into. Each item had two surprises each buried inside. It came with 1 mini magnifying glass and 1 digging/brush tool. I would definitely recommend this kit and have already ordered more of their other kits.
