Between our two kids, we’ve tried about 5 different bouncer swings and this one is definitely the best. We had another more expensive one, but our 5 month old would barely let us strap her in it, and it was so bulky that it had to stay in one place in our living room. I love the Maxi Cosi Cassia Swing because it’s much more lightweight yet still has a solid feel to it. It arrived in a very thin box which makes it great for storage if you plan to use it for multiple kids. The swing took me about 10 minutes to assemble and was very easy to do so. We’ve mostly kept it between our kitchen/dining areas for when we’re cooking, eating, and cleaning to keep the baby near, though it can be easily transported to another room. While she is not the biggest fan of being strapped in anything, like her car seat or carrier, she definitely will stay in this swing long enough to load the dishwasher or eat dinner without complaint. Because it turns around in every direction, we can face her towards us without having to move the entire swing. It really has been so helpful for us to keep her close so she can be included but also so we can have two hands every now and then. The aesthetic of the swing is really lovely — it fits our home’s modern style very well and the fabrics/materials are all elevated. It looks like a nice baby item and not cheap at all. I love that the fabric is machine washable and that the swing can be powered by either batteries or the included power adapter. We didn’t really notice a huge difference between the swing speeds and never really tried the automatic swing detection, though that is an option. The music is nicer than a lot of baby swings/toys. It doesn’t sound tinny at all and they include some nice versions of classical songs that we loved. Also that lays back for my neighbor and isn’t bulky but she can still grow into it. I don’t like items that can only used for a short time. This I can easily use probably for 9 months. It’s super lightweight so you can move it around without a hassle. My baby really likes the lay back feature, and she still gets the motion. It’s really pretty so if esthetics matters this is the one. I work from home so this let’s put it near my desk put the sound machine on and get to work. I received this swing as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First off, the swing is very easy to put together out of the box. I liked the reclined positions that calmed my baby. The movement of the swing is very smooth and the 360 degree rotation allows for more versatility in calming my baby. The melodies are nice, although I do wish they were a bit louder. The swing itself is fairly lightweight so it's easy to carry around. It also takes batteries to make it more portable. The only thing I would suggest is adding an adapter to get power via USB-C for more portable options. Honestly, my baby is enjoying the swing and this allows me to get more done around the house completely hands free.

Assembly was quick and straightforward, and I really appreciate having the option to use batteries or plug it in. I took a photo right after we put it together and my baby looked so happy. The colors are modern and sleek, and it fits perfectly with my space. The seat isn’t as deep as the one I was using before, which is perfect for a baby who likes to sit up and see everything like mine does. I also love how easy it is to use the controls are simple and very easy to understand. Switching between the settings doesn’t take any effort at all. I already owned a swing so I planned for this to be a spare one that we take over to grandparents place when we go. Spoiler alert, we loved it so much this swing has become our main one! Here are some things to know: 1. First, we love the sleek design. It looks so good in our modern home. 2. We also love the fact it sits pretty high for a swing, so that my baby can sit in it without my dog being all over him. This is a big plus for us. 3. In addition, we love the motion the swing has. It’s smoother than our other one (also from a big reputable brand) and I feel like my baby enjoys it more. 4. Another great feature is the fact it can be battery operated. Game changer if you want to move it around or put it in the middle of a room and not against a wall with an outlet. 5. We also really like the 5 point harness in this one, vs the 3 point harness of the previous one. It just feels more secure. 6. Another difference between the two swings that made us fall in love with this one is the fact that it rotates 360 degrees. It makes it so much easier for when we’re sitting in the living room and need to adjust the position. With the previous one, we had to pick it all up to move… 7. The music feature is also nice, but similar to other swings we’ve seen. 8. My only complaint about the swing, and it’s really not a big deal, but the little toy mobile that’s connected to it is too high and the arm is too short, so my baby can’t really see or touch the animals. It’s not a big deal because the swinging motion keeps him entertained anymore, but I do wish it was better placed because right now the whole thing is just redundant. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi Cosi Cassia Swing is an aesthetically pleasing, calming swing that my baby girl enjoyed more than other swings that moved up and down rather than side-to-side. The fabric is beautiful and soft. Overall, the swing looks modern and is very easy to set up and navigate. I enjoy the amounts of choices you have for speed and melodies/sounds (those are actually nice and don’t get annoying after a few minutes or a couple times of use) which I did not have with other swings. My baby enjoys the swing most when set to speed 3 and calming melodies or sounds played in the background (not too loud) while watching me do chores etc. The only slightly negative opinion I have about the swing is its weight limit. While some swings have limits up to 25 lbs, the Maxi Cosi Cassia Swing’s limit is 20 lbs. My girl is on the taller, heavier side, weighing almost 20 lbs with 5 months old. I wish I could use this swing for a bit longer as she seems to really enjoy it (and I get more chores done). Nevertheless, I’d recommend this swing as I like its features, design, soft material, settings, easy setup and navigation, melodies, and the fact that my baby enjoys it and sits in it longer than any swing she has ever tried before! Initially, I did not think a swing would be as impressive as another product that would have more motions to choose from—BOY, I was wrong! My son is 8 weeks old and this swing is the only place he enjoys being put down. We have another “swing” that has different motions, but this Maxi Cosi is the only one we’ve been able to use to free up our hands. The swinging motion is SO smooth I don’t think he thinks it’s mechanical. The touchpad is easy to navigate through the different swing speeds and melodies, and it’s so handy to rotate him to face wherever I need to be, either in the kitchen or tending to my toddler. My little guy enjoys Level Three the most, as Four and Five are pretty fast! Aside from the swing’s function, it gets extra points for not being an eye sore in our living room. The modern design and wood details fit in perfectly, and the soft fabrics are a nice, sturdy neutral gray that should stand the test of time through multiple kids (and washes!). I highly recommend this swing to any mommas with new babies or babies on the way!

Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me this opportunity! First thing I noticed, straight out of the box, is how light weight it is. This is a huge plus for me because it's so easy to move around! I love the zip away fabric for easy washing and how easy it is to adjust the angle and recline of the seat. The mobile is a little plain, but still cute. It swings out of the way with just a twist. The features are not over the top, but simple and easy to navigate. There are several sweet tunes to choose from, 5 speeds of motion, and 3 settings for the angle of the "rocking" motion. It is not a traditional rocking or swinging, but twisting. Think of a metronome motion. My baby really seems to like it! The controls are pretty easy to figure out, but I do wish they were located higher off of the ground. The entire swing only stands about knee high without the mobile (depending on the angle of the seat). The Maxi Cosi Swing can be plugged in or battery operated. This is an excellent feature! Paired with its light weight and easy break down, it is very portable when going to visit friends and family! My only suggestion would be a carrying case. All in all. I love the swing, and it will see a lot of use!

Overall, the swing it cute, safe, comfortable, study, and easy to use. When unboxing, we were immediately drawn to the modern colors and sophisticated overall look and feel of the product. It matches our couch perfectly, making it a natural accent piece of sorts in the living room, versus an eye sore monstrosity of baby swings in bygone eras. Looks are definitely a plus. I am also pleased with the safety of the swing- the frame is solid and stable, the fabric is thick and durable, and the harness is easy to fasten and adjust, keeping baby secure at all times while the swing is in use. It comes with a newborn insert, though you will not need it long; my six month baby is already spilling over the edge with it, so we removed. Even without the insert, the swing's curvature provides a cozy cradling effect, and the shoulder strap pads help make sure there is no rubbing or chafing where the harness contacts baby. Functionally, no complaints with the swing- it does exactly what it is designed to do. You can also rotate the cradle 90 degrees if you want more of a forward and back motion instead of side to side- your baby may welcome this and prefer over other brands that are strictly side to side (this is where the 360 degree of rotation claim comes in- your baby will not spin in a complete circle, but you have the customizability to adjust the motion to the point where you have options all the way around). The buttons are intuitive and adjustments are quick and easy, to the point where I asked my toddler to go turn up the speed and he happily obliged. The biggest critique I have for this swing is the footprint. It takes up a lot of space! The legs are long and far apart, so that is one piece, but you also have to have space for it to move. Practically, it eats up a lot more of your room than you might think. All things considered though, this is a very solid product, baby enjoys, and I would certainly recommend if you want more hands free time while keeping your baby entertained.

The frame is made of a wood grain styled metal with eco friendly fabrics. The fabric pieces zip on and off for cleaning which is so convenient. I also love the soft color scheme that looks great in my house! The swing itself is intuitive to assemble and simple to navigate the music and speeds using the physical buttons on the swing’s base. In my house we’re obsessed with the second song. My son loves it and I find it calming as well. The movement of the swing is natural, so I feel confident as a mom knowing he’s in safe and loving arms while he’s being rocked to sleep by the Cassia Swing. My daughter is what I like to call a Velcro baby and is not a fan of being put down for any length of time. I love her snuggles but it makes it incredibly difficult for me to do anything. Since receiving the swing I have put her in it multiple times a day to have some hands free time and she LOVES IT. She especially loves the faster setting ( it’s still very gentle). I bring the swing in the bathroom with me and put her in it while I shower and she is as content as can be. The swing is light and can be taken around the house without a problem! One of the very best things about it is how modern and chic it is! We all know that baby gear is normally clunky and just overall an eyesore. I do not feel that way about this swing. In fact I view it more as another piece of pretty furniture in my home. My sister in law is pregnant and due in March and I’m planning on ordering one for her too!

Our favorite features are how easy it is to recline or elevate seat and the 360 rotation. We also loved how lightweight the swing is and it has a feature to use batteries instead of electrical cord so you can travel with it. I have not heard of this feature on other comparable swings which makes this advantageous. There are 5 speeds available and the motions are smooth and very quiet. Our baby is very content using this swing and will nap in it. You can also unzip the seat to wash easily. We really enjoyed using this swing. Only negative is that I wish it could be used for babies greater than 20 pounds so we could utilize it for longer.

Babies are a part of our lives and our baby gear doesn't have to interfere with our home style! The material my baby sits in is plush and comfortable. Not scratchy. It is easily cleaned, too. In the end, the customization on this swing is the biggest win! The two angles allow my baby to see us in our living room as we are moving around or lay flat when she needs to take a breather. The swing's arm move ability makes it easy for me to bring the swing close and plop her in. She loves settings 2 and 3 for swing motion, and the music entertains my older boys. I appreciate that the swing has the option to take batteries! Such a win for when we want to move the swing in and out of rooms. I only have a few issues with this swing. Not a deal breaker but it might help others decide if this is right for you. The swing's controls are "touch" controls and very sensitive. If one of my toddlers gets too close and brush past the panel, it changes the swing or turns it off. They are also under the swing on the ground, so I've had to bend down a lot to change settings or turn it on/off. It's aesthetically minimalistic to have it on the foot, but it is less convenient.
