Q: My 1 week old baby has peed through every single one and I haven’t been able to keep them on for longer than 30 min before she and whoever is holding her is covered in pee. Why don’t these diapers absorb any pee? She’s almost 6lbs and is wearing NB size.

A: Totally opposite for me as well. I feel of all the diapers my daughter has used- healthy baby has been the cleanest and most absorbent. Whenever she catches a diaper rash from other brands (received from my baby shower), I always turn to healthy baby and the rash is gone almost instantly

They are cotton diapers and are a cleaner /healthier diaper..I have the same issue after a few 3/4hrs of wear on days when my toddler drinks lot of water(loves water), which is most days if not daily. Since she pees often then I can have her in them for roughly 3/4 hrs but I try to change her as often as I notice them wet ti keep her from getting a rash. One that is less frequent since changing to this brand. I absolutely love it, especially because it has made me realize my child should not be sitting in urine too long as I wouldn't during my menses.

submitted byMom - 7 months agoA: Newborn was likely too big. My almost 6lb newborn was in preemie diapers for about 3 weeks before he fit into newborn. Until we got preemie diapers, he leaked through everything. That’s probably the issue vs them being too small.

A: I have not tried coterie, however these diapers are super soft. I have tried Pura, Andy Pandy, & Bamboo Nature, and these are the softest ones by far out of those.

Received a few of these as a sample. Completely not absorbent. All leaked within an hour of wear. The no line to indicate wetness doesn’t matter because their wet clothes will be your sign.

I really did not like these diapers. There’s no line to let you know if the diaper is full or not, and it fills very quickly (not very absorbent). It also was tight getting around my 4 month old. Sad to say not the diapers for us!

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately wetness indicators can raise some concerns, because they're made using a dye or pH indicator that changes color when it comes into contact with urine, but this requires the use of chemicals like quaternary ammonium compounds, associated with reproductive and developmental problems, and halogenated organic compounds, which persist and cause damage to the environment. As being the first EWG Verified diaper, our current diapers don't have a wetness indicator. We took safety as our number one concern and only included what is absolutely necessary. We are sorry to hear the diaper was tight. We allow for overlap between sizes as every little one grows at different rates. We would love to help you find a better fit. Dont hold Pee
If I could give 0, I would. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for clean disposable diapers these just aren’t it. They leak through every single diaper change, changing a newborn at night was a nightmare with these because every diaper change meant changing his outfit everytime cause it was wet. I would’ve done cloth diapers if I wanted to do so much laundry.

I was Ignored by Company when I tried to seek answers!!!
My child was experiencing SEVERE skin issues for the past 4 months which consisted of hives and oozing open sores, and rash. I ended up having to take my child to the hospital for treatment because it got so bad. We had been using healthybaby pullups for over a year with no problems UNTIL receiving this last batch of pullups. Over the course of the past several months I desperately tried to figure out what was wrong and didn't think twice about the pullups being the culprit; I changed to all cotton only clothing, eliminating foods, changing lotions, etc. Nothing was improving until I stopped using the healthybaby pullups. When my child started improving with the new brand of pullups purchased (Naty brand), after about a week I put the healthybaby pullups back on my child just to see if the issues occurred again, and sure enough, my child began to get the hives exactly around the areas where the healthybaby pullup touched. I contacted the company and informed them of the issue, voluntarily sent them the batch numbers and UPC codes, and inquired if these pullups were apart of the "new formula" that they have been advertising or if it was the old formula; because if it was the new formula, then we would not be able to use the healthybaby brand anymore. I also asked how I can return the pullups for a refund and also so they could inspect the pullups since healthybaby's contact, Kendall, said "they take quality concerns very seriously"...They take quality concerns "so seriously" that I have not received a response to my request in almost a week and have been ignored after several more attempts to get an answer. Kendall had offered to help me choose a "correct size" in the previous email, after telling me how serious they take quality control concerns...Obviously this isn't a size issue. No word back on if this was the new formula, which they can easily tell if it is by the batch numbers. They obviously don't care to inspect the pullups to see if there was a manufacturing error, or let me know if it is just the new ingredients. I do not recommend this brand to anyone, as the new formula is apparently toxic to sensitive skin, and they do not care enough to take the pullups back for inspection for validation. Find another brand, my friends!

A gentle diaper that is ideal for sensitive newborn skin.
These diapers have been a huge relief for a sensitive skinned newborn. They feel soft and breathable and I really appreciate that they are chlorine free and made with organic cotton. As someone who prefers clean diapers over other diapers, this one is great! I sized up but I didn't need to. I prefer not the have wetness indicators because it has chemicals. This brand doesn't have that and it makes me feel better knowing my baby isn't sitting in chemicals all day.

No wetness indicator & Runs small
Healthy or not, I cannot believe I paid so much money for a box of diapers without any wetness indicator! I didn’t even know there are brands out there that do not include this feature as a basic requirement when designing this baby product. Also, Size 2 runs small and does not give me the feeling it can absorb too much. Will not purchase again.

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, wetness indicators can raise some concerns because they're made using a dye or pH indicator that changes color when it comes into contact with urine, but this requires the use of chemicals like quaternary ammonium compounds, associated with reproductive and developmental problems, and halogenated organic compounds, which persist and cause damage to the environment. As being the first EWG Verified diaper, our current diapers don't have a wetness indicator. We took safety as our number one concern and only included what is absolutely necessary. We sorry to hear size 2 was small. We allow for overlap between sizes as a every little one grows at different rates. I love that these diapers are EWG verified and therefore don’t have the chemicals that other diaper brands use. They are very soft and fit well. They are quite absorbent although not as absorbent as other brands (e.g. when my baby sleeps through the night she tends to pee through these diapers but that is not always the case with other diaper brands).
