As other reviews have noted, one of the beaters has rust on the top and bottom. The screw or something else in the rod is rusting. Hamilton Beach has come a long way!! And I must say I am very impressed with this product. I got the 3-year protection plan just in case, but I was able to whip up a base for a cheesecake with ease. I love the convenient storage where everything locks right into place! And it's a great deal right now!
