Had the Garmin 965 for about two weeks and the screen went blank. Had to return the unit.

Great Features!
I have had this for over a year, and I love it! It features are great, and I love the suggested workouts that it gives me depending on my training block. Right now I am in a speed block, so having a variety of hard workouts are great to keep it interesting.

So Lightweight!
I really like my new 965 watch, it is bigger than my previous one yet so lightweight - I almost forget that I have it on. I like the bright colorful display and the fact that it goes to sleep when not in direct use.

A bit overwhelming.
This is a great watch, no doubt about it. You open the box, turn the watch on and then realize that you don’t know squat about it. I move from an old Forerunner 910 and after 3 weeks with this watch I’m not sure that I know yet how to use 10% of its features. This is clearly an area where Garmin could improve. Yes, you can go online and download a users manual. Then you start turning virtual pages and… get lost. Garmin should look at what Zwift has done, essentially a series of videos on YouTube that takes you through the essentials. The F-965 is an amazing piece of technology, but the engineers could use some help in communication.

Love this watch!
I’m so happy I bought this watch. What an upgrade from my forerunner 245. Love the colors on the face and how I can see all of my stats without wearing my readers. LOL

My Favorite Garmin
I bought this to replace my Forerunner 645 Music after I broke a lug. I tried my GF’s Vivoactive but I didn’t like the size or feel of the band. I love the larger screen and the color display of the 965 so much! I’ve barely scratched the surface of its functions but it’s an impressive watch.

excellent display
Screen more resistant than 265. The visualization of the data on the screen is very good.

Impressive with the new technology
I had a 935 for years, until recently purchased the 965. it's huge difference for me, brighter and bigger screen give me much better visibility especially during training. Much more health features to track my sleep, health and training. I just wish I had upgraded it earlier.

Good tech, low quality bezel and face
Had the watch for almost a year now. Came from a Suunto 9. This by far has better tech than the Suno and battery life is far superior. Real the only complaint is how cheap the bezel and watch face quality are. After a year of use it’s scratched up pretty good from everyday use, running, etc. compared to the Suunto that I had for several years I’d say this is the only area where it lacks.

965 Disappointing
At first, the 965 worked very well. About a year later, the sleep mode did not work, or only recorded 1-2 hours in the morning. My distance feature started to be inaccurate; ie., recording a mile when only going 8/10 of a mile. I went to the Garmin service center to request their assistance. The person that helped me “rebooted” the watch. He also said that if I continue to have a problem with my 965, I would need to have it replaced.

Use this for all of my activities, including: - hiking -ski touring -strength training - running - cycling I don't pay much attention to most of the health tracking, but that information is there if you put much stock in it. The watch has held up extremely well. In the past Garmin watches have broken bands for me, but this one is still going strong.

Great watch
I have enjoyed using this watch. I don't use all of the features because it has so many, but the features I need work great! My only complaint is that sometimes the wrist based heart rate does not seem super accurate when I am doing activities like Backcountry skiing. Otherwise I haven't had any problems. I would recommend getting a screen protector.
