Q: Do you have to change the litater every 30 days, or can you scoop daily?

submitted by dell - 2 years ago
  • A: I scoop at least once daily and fill up great green bags with handles from Amazon. When full I throw in trash. They are leak and odor proof. I never have to totally replace the litter. My kitty is OCD about her litter box. If I'm away and use a sitter, I need to replace the litter totally after returning.

submitted byCINDERELLA - 1 year ago
  • A: You can scoop daily. We have a houshold with multiple cats and boxes. We scoop daily and this by far is the best litter for the price.

submitted byLynkdeath - 2 years ago
  • A: Scoop daily and I change/clean the litter box thoroughly every 3 - 4 weeks with one cat. Even with clumping litter, it retains urine.

submitted byNCJan - 7 months ago
  • A: I SCOOP DAILY, ONCE OR TWICE. I ORDER GREAT LITTLE BAGS WITH HANDLES ON AMAZON. SEALS IN ALL SLIGHT ODORS. I

  • A: I agree! This it is the best litter. It has baking soda instead of charcoal and is much cleaner. Charcoal litter tracks black streaks on my beige floor. This is the only litter I found that is charcoal free.

Q: Hello, This litter was recommended to me. Can you let me know the dust level? I don't see it on the packinging. Thank you.

submitted by BH - 2 years ago
  • A: We have switched from this litter for our asthmatic cat, when we pour the litter out large plumes of dust kick up. I would say there’s quite a bit of dust in it actually and our cat was having a lot of asthma attacks. Definitely not respiratory friendly in our case.

submitted byLMoze - 8 months ago
  • A: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, buy this product for any of your cats. The levels of dust barely kicked up from the slightest shifting leaves awful amounts of choking dust in the air.

submitted byRichard - 2 months ago
  • A: At first, I didn't see dust in the first 3 bags or containers but the last 2 thsy I've bought have a lot of dust kicking up when pouring in or scooping poop. Disappointed and will change litters.

submitted byGood little griddle - 2 months ago
  • A: I would say it's 99.99% dust-free. I love this litter because it's good at clumping and doesn't leave behind little pieces when you scoop it. Highly recommend.

Q: Is this bag or the plastic pail more recycable?

submitted by Steven Bergwijn - 1 year ago
  • A: This bag does not hold up when shipped. Three times ordered and shipped Fed and had to reship or cancel order. Go back to pail.

Q: Is this litter flushable

submitted by Kitty - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Kitty - We appreciate your interest in this item. Instead of flushing, it's typically advised to discard used cat litter in the garbage, ideally in a tightly sealed bag. Clumping cat litter effectively creates firm clumps that quickly trap moisture, facilitating effortless scooping and maintenance. Hope this helps! - Nuzath

    It's litter....

It’s litter, what can I say? The cats track it out the box just like all the others. It is absorbent, controls odors and dust is comparable to others we have used.

    Actually clumps well, great value

Best value for clumping litter that ACTUALLY clumps. Where other store brands tend to crumble into stinky crumbs with this slightest bump, this actually clumps securely for clean easy, scooping. And fragrance free ACTUALLY means fragrance free.

    Decent & Affordable

We've been using Arm&Hammer Clump & Seal for years, but I've recently been testing more affordable litters. This litter has pros and cons. PROS: I found it to clump very well and be low tracking. The price is also excellent for the quantity and, because it clumps so well, a bag lasts a while. CONS: I found this litter to be incredibly dusty; I have to cover my face when scooping because no matter how gentle you scoop you can see the dust puff everywhere. I would also never have expected it to include baking soda as it's very poor at trapping odor. Overall, for the price it's decent litter, but I likely won't purchase again as odor control and dust are two of the more important factors for me.

For being fragrance free, this litter is very good at keeping odors down, and we have 4 cats. We have a litter robot and it works perfectly in there. I didn't expect this to become my go to litter but here we are haha

Up & Up FF 35lb clumping litter

I cleaned and changed litter about a week ago, scoop every day sometimes twice, just don’t vacuum the mats often enough. Three neutered adult cats use the box. The litter clumps fairly well, depending on if the cat tries to cover it but underestimates their reach distance and winds up tossing a fresh spot that hasn’t become more solid yet. Another is if one goes right after the other causing the same problem. All they’d had to have done is not scratch the pile they just created or the other is waited a minute or two for it to become firmer. So sometimes you’ll get small bits that fall through the slits in the scooper. That’s more of a cat issue than litter issue. The litter is dusty like any litter but not super dusty, just when putting in fresh litter. I’ve came across many others that were much dustier and it got in your lungs. Some cats I’ve had had sensitivities to certain types I’ve tried and the current ones do well with this one. The smell (fragrance free, many sensitivities to fragranced) holds quite well. You’re still going to know they went, it’s not like it’s an air purifier, and you’re going to smell it in general the closer it comes time for a change. It honestly depends on your litterbox care routine, if your animals are neutered or not, and the health of the cat. I do notice, at times, whether it’s on their tails, paw pads, or claws litter stuck here and there. My guess is it goes back to one box and three cats with sometimes back to back usage (I swear it’s usually right after I scoop!). It’s worth a try at the very least. I wasn’t disappointed. Any other uses for clumping litter, I’m unsure of.

Doesn't Clump Well - Not Litter Robot Friendly

I switched to this from the Litter Robot-brand because it was a substantially lower price point and was truly unscented. Unfortunately, it doesn’t clump as well as more expensive brands. The clumps remain sticky and get stuck on the Litter Robot liner, so I have to manually remove them; and in our standard scoop litter box, the clumps break apart and leave small urine-soaked chunks that are impossible to remove without throwing out all of the litter. If you can’t afford anything else this is better than a fragranced litter, but I’ll be switching to a different brand.

    Best cat litter

My cats favorite litter. There isn’t too much dust with this specific litter and I enjoy how it clumps up when they pee as it makes for easier cleaning. I enjoy the baking soda in this litter as I feel it helps with the smell. I’ve repurchased this litter dozens of times and I especially like how it’s affordable!
