  • A: Substitute litter is terrible. it's dusty, dark color shows up more, does NOT clump, leaves crumbly pieces in the litter box so it gets smelly quicker. Fortunately, my cat doesn't care, but I do!!

  • A: "proprietary additives" is NOT an answer, and the so-called "safety" is therefore highly suspect. The main ingredient likely used here is sodium bentonite, which can pose grave health risks to cats due to ingestion. I may discontinue use of this litter, as my cat sometimes licks the litter from her paws, and had a recent vet visit due to constipation (which led to vomiting, which led to dehydration, which led to bad kidney values). Both I and the vet think this litter is the root cause, and I'm in the process of finding an alternative (perhaps Purina Yesterday's News). I don't like companies that hide facts behind BS like "proprietary". My cat's health isn't worth the puny cost savings. Unacceptable. Inexcusable.

    Messy and Gross

    My cat stopped using her litter box when we tried this litter. It turned to sort of a paste when wet that made a mess of her litter box and our floors. It would stick to feet, getting stuck between her paw pads and getting tracked all over our house. Switched back to name brand...not worth saving a couple bucks.

    Great affordable litter for cats

    I first tried this brand of litter years ago when the cat litter I used for years kept increasing in price and was not always available. My cat liked it and I liked the price and the clumping makes it easier to clean up and there is minimal odor. I now have a new kitten and started him off on this fragrance free one and it is working out great. Will always continue to purchase this brand.

    If you like Arm & Hammer Slide then this litter is the perfect dupe for you!! I’ve tried many other brands to try and replace A&H since I don’t really want the fragrance around my cats, heard that Target was a great dupe and finally tried it. Truly, don’t regret it. The only thing is I wish they sold different pounds, aka I want to buy this in bulk. The odor control is good if you’re scooping daily as well. This litter is genuinely top 3 of my list

    Packaging was terrible!

    The litter was great the packaging was not. package was delayed and I was told I would be receiving new items. that did not happen. Box came late and the litter was not full and a lid was taped onto the containers. The other items were usable but crushed. All in all disappointing!

    Bad allergies to baking soda

    Bought this litter when I couldn’t find my normal litter and our cat had extreme reaction to what I believe to be from the baking soda. Yes expensive vet visit… antibiotics and steroids so I would think twice in choosing this litter.

    Terrible

    It was so bad. It bothered my cat's eyes and i thought something was wrong. $500 later it was this litter that caused it. Baking soda is an irritant for cats and isn't suggested to be added to their litter. When it interacts with their pee it releases ammonia which can cause cancer for them. I just bought it once cause i wasn't able to get his normal litter. NEVER AGAIN.

    Worst Litter Ever

    Whew….where do I even begin, yall? I have two sweet kitties under 2 years of age, one being under 1 year. I tried this litter because it seemed cost efficient, highly recommended by customers, and overall satisfactory. However, I’ve never had a litter do such a terrible job with odor control! I am strictly a fragrance-free buyer. I found this litter to be extremely dusty as well. It was not very absorbent either. Will not be re-purchasing.
