Dash Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this item as a promotion. The set up was a bit of time but I have used ice cream machines before. It is mostly plastic so be careful not to burn out the machine. I followed the recipe to the tea. Not sure why the texture was watery. Capacity is 4 cups to 1 Quart. The Pinneapple recipe was more than 5 cups. Not - good already. The machines started to churn slow and then it didn’t work after 5 min. I guess I got a bad machine. Don’t like this Dash machines. Poorly made. Spent money on all those ingredients and all that time setting up the base of the ice cream and preparing the machine. Don’t waste you time on this. The quality is very poor. Hence the rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my new favorite kitchen product! Making soft serve at home is so much fun! It’s fun finding new recipes too! Chocolate has been my favorite so far. It’s not too noisy. It’s easy to clean. It dispenses smoothly. It doesn’t get hot. The cooling is quick as long as you follow the instructions on how to use it. Highly recommend this especially for the spring & summer months!

Everyone in my family loves ice cream, so our hopes were VERY high when we received it. Fortunately, it is actually as great as it sounds. It’s easy to use, makes fantastic soft serve, it and takes only a couple of minutes to clean afterward. We made ice cream nearly every day over the last month, and I have learned that we get our ideal consistency when the ingredients are refrigerated for longer than the 2 hour suggested minimum. It is a bit loud while churning, but totally worth it in my opinion. We’ve tried several recipes from the included manual and all have tasted great, and the vanilla recipe makes the perfect base for milkshakes. A few drops of mint extract, milk, and green food coloring with the vanilla soft serve makes a perfect dupe for the famous St. Patrick’s Day shake! You can see in my photo that it makes a surprisingly large quantity per use; it has been more than enough for my family. The options are endless with this ice cream machine, and I think anyone who likes ice cream would love it as much as we do.

It makes soft serve fairly quickly and fun to use at home. The performance is good overall, although the ice cream can get a little messy during churning and occasionally overflowed even when I followed the recipe. One downside is the height, since it is too tall to store easily in my kitchen cabinets. Overall, it works well and is enjoyable to use despite a few minor drawbacks.

I do wish it could make more ice cream at a once, but overall the quality and size of the machine is good for the price. Recommend, especially if you have kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m still not sure how I feel about this product.. I’ve used other ice cream makers in the past, and they seemed to be easier to use than this one. With the other ones I’ve used, you can just make your mixture and put it directly into the machine. For this one, you have to put the dish part in the freezer for 24-48 hours before you can even use the machine.. you make the mixture yourself, and it has to chill for 2-3 hours. That’s not bad, but having to put a part in the freezer a day or two before you can even use it is a bit much in my opinion. This is a great at home option for soft serve, and the recipes they give you to follow are actually pretty good. I just don’t know how people can remember two days ahead, to put a critical part in the freezer. And who knows that they want ice cream two days from now? Lol

I personally wouldn’t wanna leave it out anyways. A couple things they do recommend I would just keep the bowl in the freezer at all times. also if you’re trying to make ice cream for a bunch of people, this might not be the best option I have four kids plus mom dad and grandpa. this would not make enough ice cream for everyone. it is a little gimmicky. but that being said 100 bucks is way better than the 300 for the other brand.

I had no idea how easy it would be to make ice cream at home! This is so easy to set up and clean up is done in a flash. I’ve cream is easy to make, and it is done in less than 30 minutes in the maker. I have had so much fun with the kids making a variety of flavors, so far we have made vanilla, banana, strawberry and every one of them is perfectly made. Maker is built well, very durable. After making ice cream I wash and put the ‘drum’ part back into freezer so it is always ready for the next batch! Great family fun i look forward to Making many more batches and many more family memories with ice cream!

I’m not sure what we are doing wrong, but the mixtures are not turning into soft serve. We tried again tonight and after literally letting it churn for an hour and it still wasn’t coming together we gave up. Maybe it’s just a me error. Size wise it does take up some space, but I like that it has suction cups on the bottom to stick to the counter so it doesn’t knock over! Overall I’d give it 3 stars! I’ll keep working with it and trying to see what I can come up with!

I'd lean on 4 if you make vanilla or chocolate soft serve from scratch because this did give that restaurant style soft serve and it's super easy to use and I'm sure for family fun! The 3 was more for the banana peanut butter recipe I made where it had me blend up frozen bananas, which honestly made soft serve itself with just that step so I suppose depending what recipes you decide to make, either way it gets the job done and super fun and easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice cream maker is good not great. The set up is very clunky, as I was trying to get things going, the power panel kept falling off. It’s easy to use once you get it assembled, however the machine is very LOUD while it’s churning and you need to leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Finally, my ice cream didn’t come out as thick as I’d like but that could’ve been a user error on my part and may require trial and error for recipes. I do appreciate that the machine comes with a recipe book though.

It’s going to make summer so much fun. Soft serve by the pool is going to be the vent of the summer. Even comes with a recipe book for different soft serve flavors. And it’s less than half the price of some other ice cream machines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome machine. There is nothing like creamy soft serve ice cream treat. Nice size does not take up much room on my counter. Sturdy machine has a freezer bucket that you have to keep in the freezer at all times. The bucket is a full pint.Comes with a recipe booklet. Bottom has suctioning, so it does not move around while I am using it. The littles beaters twirl and makes soft serve cream. Just always remember, have ur bucket in the freezer so it's ready when I am. I can make flavors like chocolate, coffee,vanilla, or strawberry. Even add fruits if I wish to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this ice cream maker is simple and easy to clean up. You will need to follow the directions to freeze the bowl for at least 24hrs to make sure it is cold enough for the liquid to froze. Nice machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have us this this ice cream machine a few times now. We first tried making dairy free ice cream. The consistency of that was more of a slush. The 2nd time we did actual dairy ice cream and consistency was a lot better. It is easy to maintain. Easy to use and safe to use. My 12 year old uses it. It is very durable. We love it!
