Christmas Gift broke within 7weeks
Unit stopped heating up within 7 weeks. This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter who is now very sad. And it’s now past the Christmas return date. Not a happy buyer for an expensive craft item.

Creative play and useful tool
Ordered this for my 9yo, and I wish I ordered one for myself! The manual it comes with, gives some great patterns to get you started, and we made the glasses first! I would say there are definitely tips and tricks, like making sure to keep the tip of the pen up a bit more than you might think—if it’s held too low and touches previous lines, the pen tip will grab them and sort of re-melt and take along the way—so hold up a little higher and get comfortable with clicking off to let your work set. When the pen is paused, I would go back and gently touch the area I finished to sort of bind things together, which helped to strengthen and bind lines together. I will say, I was expecting it to be similar to a hot glue gun, but very surprised by how safe it feels to work with, not hot at all! I also used it to to fix things, like a little plastic drone that broke in a few areas from a high fall, and a little 3D printed toy that broke an arm. Super fun to play with and also useful for fixing things! I highly recommend!

3D Pen design may not be the one pictured
I got two of this set for my kids (ages 6 & 9) for Christmas. It’s safe and easy for them to use and they love it EXCEPT one of their pens looks different than the picture. The shape is different and it has light on the front. Functionality is no different but everyone knows that doesn’t matter to kids and now the one with the pen as pictured thinks the other got a “better” one. It’s not a BIG deal but this was the exact annoying issue I was trying to prevent by getting two of the same set. Just a heads up for parents who might buy multiple for the same reason.
