Q: Base on the International large checked size should be total in 62 inches, but this suitcase seemed a bit bigger. Do you think it is possiable to pass the international flight custom?

  • A: Thank you to this inquirer. I just purchased this largest size checked bag and the carry-on size, and will now likely return both as the exceed the total linear inches requirements for each on most carriers. This large size is 63” linear inches and required is 62” or oversized fees are applied (currently, $200 by Delta). The carry-on is 47” linear inches and required is 45”, so it would be sent to checked baggage and I’d risk it being sent to the wrong place as happened before.

Ooh lala! Suitcase of my dreams!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Swiss gear does it again! I got this suitcase in blush pink, it’s absolutely stunning. But it’s really inside that blew me away. The compartments are so cleverly designed, to keep me organized. I love all the zipper pockets. I love the snap closure side as well. Everything stays so secure and I can pack so much more in because of the way it’s designed. I can’t wait to get a carry on one as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this checked luggage from Swiss gear first and foremost, comes in great unique color options. That might seem like an unnecessary feature, but is so helpful when you’re trying to pick your luggage off of the luggage escalator at the airport the wheels function nicely as I would expect for something at this price point unique features that I noticed include the zippers which a pretty good color and are large and shaped differently for the main zippers as opposed to the size extender zipper. The main zipper is also lock directly into the lock system so that it cannot be opened if the lock is set inside it has the basic layout however they did add a nice waterproof pocket as well as instead of just the standard straps to secure your clothing into the side that doesn’t have the zip over cover. It has a large larger panel that actually would serve to compress and or contain your clothing, which is so simple but very smart.

This works perfectly because I could check this bag in for free with my airline who allows free checked in and it doesn’t go over the oversized luggage size. it’s really good quality and 30 and it rolls around well.

It is huge and has so much storage space inside with different compartments to keep all of your personal items organized and safe. The 360 wheels make traveling through the airport of breeze. Love this luggage and how much it holds

I love that the luggage has four wheels and how easily the bag moves. The TSA approved lock is a huge added bonus! The adjustable clothes compression panel is definitely my favorite feature and I love how much this suitcase can hold! This will be my go to luggage when traveling!

When I opened the package, I couldn’t get over how nice it looked!! It is a great big size, and I love the sleek gray color. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Swissgear luggage seems like really high-quality. We’ve always bought Swissgear for all of our luggage and usually it does hold up pretty well. We haven’t used this on a trip yet so I can’t confirm, but so far it seems like a really good value. It has a lot of compartments on the inside and zippers to store things. It’s a really large size and will store a lot of items for a long trip as a checked bag. It has a lock system and I was able to unlock it fine. It also comes with the warranty and I’ve had good luck using this before and reaching out to Swissgear for any issues. Overall, I would recommend for the price. I went with the black color, but the other ones look gorgeous.

This is a checked size, large bag. It’s nice it has a 10 year warranty. I feel like Swiss gear stands behind its products as a company. The inside is really neat too with different compartments to store and hold items. I’m looking forward to traveling with this!

Bad zipper and handle combo

Zipper broke after two uses. Poor design. If you put any weight in this bag at all. The top handle puts pressure on the zipper and it won't hold. Had to buy a strap to keep the bag together to get all my items go,e safely. Am hopeful Swiss gear warranty holds true as I've had the bag about two weeks and used it for three trips.

Poor instructions

Typical target. Not really that low price. Came locked with incorrect instructions about lock. Showed a different type of lock. Cant access help on website without giving name and email. Once again, Target, you disappoint. Do better.

I just purchased this largest size checked bag and the carry-on size, and then read the Q&A initial question. I will now likely return both as the exceed the total linear inches requirements for each on most carriers. This large size is 63” linear inches and required is 62” or oversized fees are applied (currently, $200 by Delta). The carry-on is 47” linear inches and required is 45”, so it would be sent to checked baggage and I’d risk it being sent to the wrong place as happened before. Value low if you have to pay surprise oversized fees each flight.
