Best headset / headphones for all day all task use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Intone H9 in the past and now I have the H9II. It is a really big improvement in lots of ways despite not looking like one on paper. The sound quality is improved but beyond that this is a headset that you can use for EVERYTHING. Let's start with the differences... This comes with a travel bag, the mic is removable and the overall size and weight is much more comfortable. The original H9s were comfortable but quite bulky, I had lots of comments if I wore them to a team meeting - and when I didn't need voice they were just too big and bulky to be useful, the mic was permanently attached and when you moved it to the off position it looked like you were a remote control robot. The mark II instead have a mic mute button, when it's pressed the button is raised so you can feel it and the mic lights up red (only your side so people on a call can't see it) to let you know you are muted - you can also remove the mic when you've finished chat but still want great audio and less bulk or distraction. Finally on the design you get a much lighter and more adjustable set up on this one, with the suspended band below the frame instead of the cushioned rigid frame like on the originals - overall this adds up to a much more comfortable headset that you can use for everything instead of having to switch like I was before. With both sets you get great mic and sound quality but the new ones are (to my ears) a step forward. The new drivers are apparently the same as Sony's flagship bluetooth headphones but the internet thinks that they are tuned a bit differently because of their use case. I can't confirm this but what I a confirm is that they sound good enough for me to keep them on for music listening while I work or film and TV watching too. Where they really come into their own is their connectivity and usefulness beyond being a standard headset. I currently have them connected to my Mac using the USB dongle (where it appears as 2 playback devices - allowing me to control the volume AND the volume of calls compared to other audio) and to my phone via Bluetooth and the audio switches seamlessly when I answer my phone. The only downside for me personally is that I don't have a windows computer to use the inzone hub and when I tried it on the web it didn't work (I haven't tried that on Chrome though yet). So overall I think that this is as close to a perfect headset as I could hope for - great audio, all day comfort, accessories to keep my desk neat and to let me travel with them and a way to make them less bulky when I don't need a mic.

Amazing spatial audio but lacking otherwise
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These INZONE H9 II headphones are the first dedicated gaming headset I have used. On first impressions in terms of feel and aesthetics, they are lightweight and well made as you would expect from SONY. The outer shell of the cups are covered in a very smooth, almost soft touch, plastic. The ear covering is a nice padded foam with faux leather on the inner side. They are extremely comfortable to wear that you almost forget you are wearing them! The headband is made from two different parts and is fully adjustable although a little bit tricky. It's comfortable when in place but I feel the overall look isn't in keeping with the earcups. A little bit cheap looking in places. The right cup feature several buttons including for changing between gaming and chat. On the left is the microphone port, charging port, volume control and 3.5mm jack for wired connections. The microphone is detachable and fully adjustable. It's also a nice length so it fits closely to your mouth. A compact transmitter is included to switch between PC and console. Everything can be packed into the basic but functional carry case which has a main compartment and a separate zip pocket. Now onto how they perform! They charge quickly via USBc and can be linked via the included transmitter or Bluetooth. For those who want to fine tune the H9 II's, the INZONE hub works well especially to get the best out of the spatial sound. These tuning elements can also be played with through mobile via Sound Connect. The active noise cancellation is extremely effective! Definitely helps to keep you immersed in a game. The spatial audio is probably the highlight though. It's very impressive to hear sounds (even subtle noises) hitting you from all directions. Especially in the heat of a battle! The treble is ok but not amazing. The same can be said when listening to music. It's just ok. The microphone does work well and is clear. Overall, I would say the H9 II are excellent in a couple of performance areas and definitely worth it if you are just looking for stunning spatial audio within games. However, in terms of listening to music, the overall aesthetics and some of the build quality, I was left wanting a little bit more.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to hear that you're enjoying your WH-G910N. Yet, we're sorry to learn that the design quality isn't up to your liking; this is not the norm, as we strive to deliver the best quality possible. It's worth mentioning that the headset is developed with great attention to quality and a design built for everyday comfort and long‑lasting use. However, we appreciate your feedback; hearing from our customers helps us continuously improve our products to align with your preferences. Rest assured that we've raised it to the concerned team for future consideration. Also, please note that the headset is designed mainly for competitive gaming, not music. Its sound settings highlight things like footsteps and in‑game movement, so music might not sound as rich or detailed as expected. However, we recommend prioritizing sound quality by following the steps here: https://cutt.ly/XtfpU4lx If you need any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us using the details provided in the following link: https://cutt.ly/heoRCkdW (Copy and paste the link into your browser) Nadine @Sony Support UK

Great headset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always loved the feel of Sony products, the solid feel and the way everything works smoothly, like the easy adjustable mic and slider lock headband. The sound is great the mic is clear by what other tell me. The battery is longer lasting than I thought with mine lasting about 20 hours of on and off gameplay. Controls and set up are very easy for anyone, with each earcup handling different functions such the right earcup has the game-chat volume mix buttons, Bluetooth toggle, a power button, and a large mic mute button on top of the ear up. the left earcup, has the volume wheel, ambient mode toggle, USB-C charging port, 3.5mm audio jack, and detachable microphone port. Like I noted earlier this is a very easy to use headset where the buttons are well spaced out. It comes a cool carry zip bag that stores all the wires and accessories. The only real issue I run into with most Sony headsets is finger magnet texture on the earcups. The main quality is obviously still there. Sound, feel, simplicity and durability.

The most comfortable over-ear headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I listen to music for several hours at a time and similarly gaming on PS5 and these are extremely comfortable on the headband and over the ear. I particularly like the roll-dial volume control, which comes easy to hand. Friends commented that the sound from the microphone was crisp and clear with no dead spots during conversation. I would give noise cancelling 8 out of 10 but perfectly adequate for domestic situations. Bluetooth connection to my Sony TV was straight forward and sound quality was good, with plenty of base coming through in action movies. I used the Sound Connect app for listening to music and the equaliser presets suit my wide range of taste from classical to rock I like the separate zip pocket for cables in the carry pouch

Headphones are amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fantastic headphones, so what I mean is the the noise cancelling is real effective, the sound quality is superb, the depth of the sound so Depp, you miss nothing the game or even on teams call microphone offers excellent noise cancelling as well.. my only issue on first use is the printed button description is hard to read and very faint against the black body of the headphones. Excellent mic off button , easy to use. These headphones are top of the range and you will not be disappointed using them.

Excellent performance and very comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great headset – supremely comfortable The headset is very well built and sturdy, but not heavy. Extremely comfortable – “snug but light”, so could be worn for very lengthy gaming sessions or even when working. The headband adjustment method at first looks strange (different from most other headsets) but in fact is very easy to adjust for maximum comfort – for example when family or friends wish to use it. The headset comes complete with all cables and connections you might need and can even be charged while in use. (although it lasts a long time on a wireless charge) We initially tested with PlayStation 5, playing mainly Gran Turismo 7, Call of Duty Black ops, Fortnite and Minecraft. The detail and quality of sound (especially surround sound) totally transformed the experience of Gran Turismo, particularly the engine noises. Noise cancelling is particularly effective. The microphone is easy to install / detach and adjust and provides a professional sound quality. Clarity is excellent and was commented on by friends when on multiplayer games. The headset settings can be customised, either on the set itself or using the handy Sound Connect app on my iPhone which I already use with Sony earbuds. However, the “out of the box” settings were so good we didn’t feel the need to make adjustments. The headset is also excellent for listening to music, via iPhone or iPad, or for making and receiving calls – noise cancellation helps when in noisy environments.

The adjustable strap is a great just pull up and down to adjust them to your preferred fit and your done. I really love these.

INZONE H9 II Wireless Noise Cancelling Headset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve just received my Sony INZONE H9 gaming headset which on first look/wear, the headphones earpiece will fold flat when packaged and when worn, they are pleasantly light. The headphones and accessories are well packaged and helpfully, all the need to know information on how to connect is labelled on the inside of the box lid, but also includes a QR code for the online instructions should you need it. The box contains a USB-C cable, 2.4Ghz USB transceiver, boom microphone, reference guide, instructions to register the warranty and a real quality carry case with a zip at the side for the headphones and one on the front to hold the cables – well done Sony. The headphones worked well for both myself and my wife, they are light and helped by small adjustments to the headphones position, even slightly, made them really comfortable for us to wear. Connect via 3.5mm cable or as I did on first use, connected via Bluetooth which was very straight forward. The proximity of the “Game” and “Chat” selections made it a simple jump from one to the other and voice were very clear, which did help as my hearing is not what it used to be. The mute function can be controlled just by flipping the microphone up. I love the Noise Cancelling function which is really effective at cutting out external sounds leaving me fully emersed in gaming on my PC, and Ambient is included allowing external sounds to be heard so you don’. The sound is incredible and the Sony “INZONE Hub” software gives a visual representation of the adjustments I’ve made to each of the settings to suit me. The quick charge which takes 10 minutes plugged in, easily provides 60 minutes of power and when fully charged, and Sony advertises a maximum of 32 hours, but I haven’t tested that yet and I guess with ANC on, this time would be reduced. A full charge will still take around 3.5 hours, but it’s nice to get a quick bump if needed. The comfort, sound quality and battery life make this a great product worth considering and I’m really pleased that I now own one.

Wow, very good and comfotable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely gaming headset. First impression when you open the box is that of quality, everything is well packed and looks stylish. I gave the headset a charge for an hour and then ready to try out. First tested connecting via Bluetooth to my mobile, this was straight forward (Button on the headset to pair), Sound was very good perhaps a little heavy on the base side but was rich and clear and good for all types of music. Switching between noise cancelling and ambient makes a big difference, when switched, the external noises are almost unheard, very impressed. Next, to its main focus for gaming use. The wireless Bluetooth dongle worked with no issues on my PC and connection was quick and easy. Using the headset in gaming is definitely where it shines, clear sounds, very good base for gunfire and explosions and crystal-clear audio. The microphone worked well, very sensitive and after a while you forget its there. After 2-3 hours of play the headset was still very comfortable and had made no dent on the battery level. Overall, I loved this headset and look forward to many more hours of gaming.

this has hands down been the worst headset i have ever had. it constantly disconnects from bluetooth and the dongle. I've spent hours trying to fix it; no, it's just a garbage product that is over priced.

4 steps in the right direction, massive step back
I recently received my INZONE H9 II, and I really enjoy them quite a bit except for one glaring issue. The sound and ANC are significant leaps forward compared to the original H9’s. The fit feels a bit more snug and secure without feeling too tight compared to the original as well. I enjoy having an easy to find mute button, and the mic is definitely more clear than its predecessor. I very much appreciate being able to use a line in if I want. My only complaint, and it’s quite important, is the game/chat balance buttons not working on the headset when used with the ps5. Im very disappointed, as the previous edition functioned just fine with ps5. It boggles my mind that this wouldn’t be dialed in when this launched. I hope for a firmware update fix or something. Other than that a solid performing headset.

Hi Souzapalooza, We apologize for the inconvenience with the Game/Chat balance buttons not functioning on your INZONE H9 II when used with the PS5, as we know this is a key feature. We are glad you're otherwise enjoying the improved sound, ANC, and mic clarity. We have noted this feedback regarding the PS5 compatibility and will pass it along to our development team for evaluation in future firmware updates. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab

Best gaming headset for the ps5 by far!
so I’ve had the inzone 9 since release but always felt that they were just lacking “something”. Well what ever it was the inzone 9 ll have found it. Whilst the drivers are smaller in comparison to the previous model the sound is much better, much more round and you can very easily identify what direction and how close enemy foot fall is. The mic is now a thing of beauty I can play in the same room on my ps5 while the main tv is one at it completely cancels out its sound.

Must buy
Bought this a couple weeks ago, they're so light compared to the original H9s. Sound just as good of not better, the added 3.5mm cable gives it the edge over the originals since you'll be able to use them for the PS Portal.

Inzone H9 II vs Pulse Elite
Was looking for a replacement headset for my pulse elite which is a phenomenal head set for ps5 gaming but the durability is its weak point as I am still currently waiting on a third replacment pair from Playstation. I chose the H9 II because I like its feature set and so far the bass isn't as loud and over bearing as the Pulse Elites (warzone explosions are deafening at times). I also chose the II and not the first gen because of the phone app. It allows mean to adjust the equalizer on my phone and save it for use on ps5. Its a work around for not being able to do so on the console it self like the Pulse series. I also like the ability to us Bluetooth and wireless dong (like the Pulse Elite). Overall I am happy with the product. Could I have waited for a price drop? Sure and that would be the other negative but I can live it as long as they are durable and perform well. The Pulse elite has better sound but the bass can be really loud but thats what eqs are for but the durability, feature set and fit are draw backs for me and those who have big heads. I plan on keeping my pulse elite as a switch up option.
