    Headphones suck! Stopped working after barely a year, coincidentally when the warranty expired. Expensive pair that doesn’t even last and has cheap parts. Awful. And the Sony customer support is worse.

    DO NOT BUY

    HINGE DEFECT. This products was taken care for extremely well for 11 months and broke 10 days before warranty ended. Sony still refused to fix. This is a known issue with the headphones and this company refuses to own up to their mistake and do the right thing.

    Warranty does not cover Ripping Headband

    Have two MX5's and one MX6. Love the sounds and product overall however, Sony's warranty does not cover the headband which ripped. There was no misuse at all.

    Top‑Tier Sound, No Regrets

    The XM5s are honestly the best headphones I’ve used so far. I went from store to store trying to figure out which pair to buy, but a friend recommended these, and the moment I tried them, they went straight into my cart. The sound quality is unreal, especially the bass and noise cancelling. So cool.

    I bought this 3 days ago and don’t regret buying it the bass is amazing you can adjust the settings by using the Equaliser the headset is comfortable and also has touch control on the right side of the headphones.

    Amazing headphones!

    I've only had these a week and I'm amazed at house good they are. The noise cancelling is incredible and makes for such a good listening experience. I also really like the features such as removing your headphones puts the music on pause, and it automatically continues when you put them back on. Also one hand over your right ear will temporarily lower the volume of what's playing so you can hear what's going on around you. The ONLY downside I found is using them at the gym, and kind of activity that involves arms moving against headset can skip song etc, as controls are touch sensitive. I love them and sooooo glad I bought them!

    Good but an annoying issue

    Typically very good, excellent noise cancelling and sound quality. No build quality issues so far. The ability to connect to 2 devices at once is useful The only thing that I think let's them down is there is annoying issue where the headphones will occasionally disconnect from devices/turn off. Seems to be a common issue which I have not found a solution for

    Great value headphones

    I boought this item a couple of weeks ago and very pleased with it. For me, a comfortable fit on the head and over the ears. Exterior sound is well muffled and i like the balance of bass and treble and find listening to music very pleasing, as is listening to people speaking, such as in a podcast. I got a good deal on the headphones via Richer Sounds and think the headphones are excellent value for money.

    Review of the Sony WH-1000XM5 After Switching from

    I’ve been using the Sony WH-1000XM5 for only two days, and the difference compared to my previous headphones (the JBL Live 770NC) is absolutely huge — especially in terms of sound quality and comfort. With the JBL, I liked the strong bass, but in many tracks the sound felt a bit muddy. The low and mid frequencies sometimes blended together, and the overall presentation could get slightly confusing depending on the song. It had power, but not much clarity. The WH-1000XM5, on the other hand, delivers a completely different listening experience. The sound is cleaner, more detailed, and far better balanced. Even using Bluetooth with my iPhone 16 Pro Max and my MacBook Air (which don’t support Sony’s high-resolution audio codecs), the XM5 still sounds outstanding. The level of detail, instrument separation, and overall richness of the audio is miles ahead of what I experienced with the JBL. Comfort is another strong point. The XM5 is incredibly light, the fit is perfect, and I can wear it for long periods with zero fatigue — something I couldn’t say about many other headphones I’ve tried. Overall, the Sony WH-1000XM5 provides a fuller, clearer, and more enjoyable sound signature, along with excellent comfort. It’s a significant upgrade in every way, and I’m extremely happy with the switch. Highly recommended.

    Headphones

    They are bad headphones . Within a month they start to peel off . The one year warranty doesn’t cover because they said it’s cosmetic .
