Being someone retired as Chief of Police, home security is very important. As I've aged, the ability to provide controlled access to family, friends and emergency services is important. I'm not an IT guru by any means, this product was easy to set up for upto 100 various codes. I encourage others to add this to your home security platform.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a lock as as a whole it is pretty good. The flaws are in its design. How the battery tray and battery cover attaches to the unit are a couple of the problems. If your deadbolt and lockset openings on your door are too close together (as the are in the majority of doors) you can not access either on the lockset as they remove and install by sliding up. If the tolerance is too close, it makes it unable to access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced old door lock / deadbolt with schlage encode smart, and from start to finish one the easiest things you can do around the house on your own. All you need is a screw driver. Installation was a breeze, online tutorials available. Programming the door lock to work with app was easy and even tried manually programming our own personal codes. Very easy instructions to follow. One thing you can not have the door lock paired with the app and have your own codes programmed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was easy to install, gas great features, like auto locks , the app let's you monitor the door, you can unlock/unlock from your phone. You can create and assign temporary codes and let's you know who unlock the door base on the code you gave/assigned. The best thing is that the app.is free and no subscription required.

Both locations already had Schlage out of confidence in the quality and durability. The legacy one at my home was not a wifi smart keypad and over many years of constant use was becoming worn out. The smart lock at the Lodge had really impressed me. It was easy to install and link with our Ring security app, looks great on the 100+ year old mansion, and replaced the Schlage smart lock of an earlier Gen model that was having trouble connecting with Ring. This on works great. I bought the exact same model for home and in 20 minutes have it installed and operating perfectly. I recommend using all the new hardware supplied to refresh your lock system. Don't be tempted to leave the old bold in place as it typically isn't slightly tapered so the electric motor doesn't encounter a bind and fail to secure the door. The supplied hardware is specifically designed to give the best performance with the model. Use it. And enjoy your Schlage and ease of app operation.
