Very good daily cleaner with a few persistent annoyances
The Roborock S5 Max is genuinely great at its core tasks: it vacuums thoroughly, maps intelligently, and mops competently. Most days it starts, cleans the entire floor, mops where requested, and returns to base without any human help. However, the lack of basic status feedback (water level and bag fullness) in an otherwise feature-rich app feels like a strange omission in 2025, and the minor mechanical quirks (spinning, dragging the mat, overly sensitive sensor warnings) add up over time. If you can accept physically checking the water tank and accepting the occasional odd behavior, it is still one of the best value robot vacuum/mop hybrids available. If you strongly prefer a more “finished” experience with proper tank/bag monitoring and quieter emptying, consider stepping up to the newer Roborock Q Revo or S8 series. Recommended with the above reservations – a solid 4-star performer that could easily be 4.7 stars with a few software and minor hardware refinements.

I love this! With 3 dogs, it can be hard to mop everyday so this is a lifesaver! It’s easy to use and not too loud. My only complaint would be that sometimes it’ll only clean for a couple minutes and go back to its dock. But it’s not a big deal and I’ll start it back up. It does a good job to help me keep the floors clean.

My Honest Opinion (Q10 S5+)
My Q5 Pro had much less technical flaws than my new Q10 S5+. The Q10 gets stuck in places it shouldn't get stuck, then goes into error mode until I get home to free the helpless heep. It does clean well, empty into it's trash bin somewhat decently. But it gets stuck everyday as to where my Q5 Pro never got stuck.

Makes things so much easier!
So far, the Roborock Q10 S5+ has saved me so much time. Not only does it intelligently map out where to vacuum, but it also does a good job of mopping. I've had this for more than 3 months, and haven't had to empty the dock yet!

Good Buy and Worth It
So far so good. Set up was easy and mapping went fast and smooth. We have only used it a few times but it appears to do a very good job vacuuming. We have a one-story home, all wood floors with a few area rugs and the vacuum does a great job moving from floor to rug and back. I have not had an opportunity to use the mopping function yet so I cannot post a review on that action.

Couldn’t even get the map feature to work. Never found its way back to the dock after attempting to create the first map. Tried resetting and creating new maps but it never worked. We’ve had other Roborock vacuums that are great but this model is terrible.

Does a very good job with vacuuming and navigation, but severely disappointed in the self-empty feature. Cat hair will not empty from the dust bin, requiring me to pull the filter and manually empty after every cleaning cycle. I tried all of their troubleshooting--it just doesn't have the suction to pull cat hair effectively from the dust bin.

I've always wanted a robot vacuum, but never had one. My sister recommended a shark, but after researching the brand Roborock seemed to keep coming up as a good brand. So I dug deeper and this brand had tons of five star reviews. Now I know why. This little vacuum is amazing. It took one tour around my house and had the whole place mapped. It let me choose the design of my tile, which is vertical, and now that’s the direction it sweeps and mops my house to get into the grout lines. The suction on this thing is outstanding. This robot is amazing. Do not hesitate if you are shopping around to buy. This is THE ONE!

Bought one for me and one for my parents
One son came back home and brought his cat. And then the other son came back home and brought his cat. And then my husband bought me a cat. I bought the Q10 S5+ and loved it so much I bought one for my parents. It brings some sanity and cat hair control to my life. I docked one star because the instructions aren't as clear as they could be around setting and differentiating between rooms and zones, as well as using the vacuum on different floors. Other than that, it's been wonderful.
