for $120 I am so annoyed. I got this less than six weeks ago and from the time I got it the instructions were and weird. They just don't make sense to me. I don't really understand what the soaking bucket is for or how you are supposed to use itwith the blades properly so I was lightly tapping the hair out of the blades instead and it was fine a couple of times but the third I decided to do it over the trashcan. The entire razor fell apart on me. Now I understand at some point I was gonna have to the blades anyway, and in the process of the razor falling apart I lost one of the inner parts, but you have to buy four at a time for $34 inthe company. Wouldn't do anything about replacing it and said they didn't have any replacement so then I spent an additional $34 in a tiny little instruction card no words and little pictures that comes with the replacement blades does a awful job of explaining anything whatsoever for people that are not good with instructions. It literally cut my finger after15 whole minutes of fidgeting trying to figure out how to get the blades in and when I was almost done with three the other popped I don't even understand how to get the razorback together or how to get the plastic part connected to the frame. For this much money, should be able to easily shave my head and not have to worry about replacing four little tiny individual parts but if I have to, then I wouldexpect them to easily go in with easy instructions, but even the company themselves sent me a link to a video of how to change the heads and it was a few seconds long, no audio didn't really explain anything more than the card that came with it. When I asked target if they would accept the return, they said for electronics it's usually only a week but it's not a video game. It's a razor. I will take it back in person and see what they say since it's been five weeks and it is defective, but if not, I'm gonna have to fight it with my bank because this is absolutely ridiculous.

Not for me
I found it didn’t perform as expected and was noisy. I’ve used Philips products in the past so had no concerns about buying this. I usually wet shave my head and was looking for a quick and easy alternative, bought this based on reviews and reputation. To be honest I wish I hadn’t, whether it was me or not I don’t know but it took a long time, was awkward to use, was difficult to move smoothly, noisy, and left my head patchy. On the plus side it didn’t take long to charge.

Razor-Close Head Shave Without the Hassle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re looking for a head shaver that truly delivers a razor-close finish without the hassle of a blade, the Philips Norelco Shaver Series 9000 is in a league of its own. I’ve tried multiple head shavers over the years, and most fall short when it comes to achieving that clean, smooth, “just used a razor” feel but this one absolutely nails it. The shave is incredibly close, consistent, and comfortable, without irritation. It’s one of the first electric shavers I’ve used that genuinely replicates a razor-like result. What really stands out is how efficient it is. I can get a full head shave done quickly, which is a game changer on busy mornings or when I’m in a rush. The shaver glides smoothly, captures hair effectively, and leaves behind an even, polished finish with minimal effort. Battery performance is another big win. It charges quickly when needed, but even better, it holds a charge long enough to get multiple shaves in before needing to plug it back in perfect for anyone who values convenience and reliability. Overall, this is a premium grooming tool that delivers on performance, speed, and results. If you shave your head regularly or want that clean, razor-close look without the time and irritation of traditional shaving, I highly recommend the Philips Series 9000. It’s easily one of the best investments I’ve made in my grooming routine.

Great Reliable Head Shaver
So far I like everything about this head shaver. No fuss no muss as they say. Easy to use, to keep clean and maintain. The cordless feature is great and the unit holds a charge as per stated. The best feature in my opinion is that it collects all the hair whether using it dry or wet requiring no clean up of the sink, counters etc.

Disappointing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It doesn’t cut close at all! I have to use a disposable razor to get a good shave! Waste of money!

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that the shaver isn’t giving you a close shave and that you’re needing to use a disposable razor afterward, that’s definitely not the experience we want for you. We’d be happy to look into this further and help find the best solution for you. Please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or X (@PhilipsCare). Bonne tondeuse
La qualité est la, par contre a mon avis le moteur devrait être plus fort et les lames tourner plus vite. Ça éviterait de devoir repasser plus souvent au même endroit.

9000 Series is worth it to me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. I could have gone with the less expensive model because I read they give the same quality shave but I usually go for the top of the line when I buy. The longer battery life isn’t something I’ll ever need but I have it just in case. I am very meticulous when it comes to cleaning after every shave. I found that using the submerged in water method only works if you first tap the cage of blades to get the bulk of the hair out first. Even then the individual heads can still have residual hair after the water dip unless you clean each head a screen individually. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it. Great razor. Worth every penny.

Excellent shaver
Have been using this for almost a week now, and I really like using it. It replaced another brand I was using and was having issues with replacement blades. Very good shave, very happy with the closeness and easy to clean daily. In fact, there is hardly any hair in the collection area (and I shave my head every day) when I'm done. It is a quiet shave; unlike the other brand I used. Highly recommend this if you're on the fence. The first 2 days I used it; I did a dry shave and was happy with the results. Then I bought some Lectric Shave and even better results. I have used shaving oil on my head in the past and it always gunks up the blades. This is a much better alternative. But even without it, it gives a great shave.

Spot on
I made a change from a traditional razor to electric and have not looked back. Shaving my was a bit time consuming, but now in a few minutes it’s all sorted. Spot on, would highly recommend.

Philips Norelco Head Pro Shaver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Philips Norelco head shaver is a beast. It’s fast, smooth, and gets right down to the skin without pulling or irritation. The 5-head design covers a lot of ground, so I’m done in minutes , and the Wet & Dry feature makes it easy to use in the shower or at the sink. Battery life is solid, it feels sturdy in the hand, and cleanup is quick.if you want a clean, no-nonsense shave, this thing delivers.

It does the job but too slow for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works. But quite simply, I've been shaving with a razor for over 30 years. So needless to say I'm pretty good at it. So I'm much faster with a razor. That's my only reason for not giving 5 stars. If it could do it faster it would be great. Don't even know if that possible but yeah. It just takes too long compared to a razor for me.

Worth the cost
Works very well and has given me no problems. Easy to hold and gives a good shave much smoother than by last head shaver. I also like the cleaning bath.

The shaver worked very well and was a close shave. It was way easier and quicker than using my Phillips face shaver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best head trimmer I’ve owned. I’ve used many. The heads always clogged up and you couldn’t clean them out. This doesn’t clog at all. It cleans easily and the battery life is great.
