Easily the best shaver on the market.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Phillips/Norelco shaver in about 30 years. Each one was better than the previous. This latest XP9402 is the absolute best. I shave 5 to 6 times a week and shaving time with this device is a fraction of the time of it's predecessor and much closer. The shaving closeness is as close as you would achieve with a blade. I've been using it for going on 7 weeks now and I've only had to charge it twice. The GroomTribe app is interesting. I'm 62 years old, have been shaving for longer than I can remember, so consulting an app on my phone for guidance on shaving is not something I feel like I need to do, however, the app does provide useful information on device health, charge status and allows you to make adjustments to the settings on the shaver without fiddling with the shaver itself. Those features of the app, to me, are very useful.

Great choice ... very pleased.

The shaving performance is excellent and the charging and cleaning system work very well. The trimmer attachment for side burns is mostly useless for me, but I am OK with that tradeoff and can get a separate sideburn trimmer if need be. The convenience compared to regular shaving has been very enjoyable and I would purchase this again.

Shaver not that good
Shaver blades came out I put them back in as I think they go ,but shaver doesn’t seem to cut so well so need look at instructions to see what gone wrong until then have gone back to using old one

Great Razor which is kind to the skin
The Philips razor is completely different from razors I have used previously. It has taken some time for me to adjust my shaving routine to the Philips razor. The positives are I feel that the razor is kinder to my skin and my skin feels softer after shaving and the shave appears to last longer. Also the beard regrowth / stubble appears softer than with my previous razor. Drawbacks are that shaving takes longer in order to achieve complete coverage and I am yet to master completely the awkward bits around the mouth area to my satisfaction. Other that I very happy with my Philips razor including the cleaning and accessories. Thank you

Almost perfect...I am happy with the upgrade. I previously used a few Philips shavers, and I can say it is an upgrade. The shaving...almost as close as a classic shaving. Is also the first I can use it with foam, previous models.... Is it perfect? Nope, the shape of the three individual things (I have no clue how to call them) can actually hurt you, but with a bit of exercise, I managed to adapt and I can use it very well but probably will look forward to the new model.

Pretty good shaver, but I need to be careful around my upper lip as it caused chafing and even bleeding if i press a bit and if not it won't get those whiskers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not as good as the one it replaced. Losing the pop-up trimmer was a purchase mistake on my part. This comes with a clip on trimmer which works but is nowhere near as convenient. The shaver head flings beard debris when opening, so be careful with that. Not essentially thrilled that it talks to my phone. I imagine my shaver and toothbrush having bluetooth conversations about my hygiene when I'm not listening. Why does my shaver need to interface with anything? Well, you have to in order to change the settings - which ought to be selectable on the device itself. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. The pressure feedback keeps telling me I'm pressing too hard, but shaving "in the green" doesn't seem as close or effective. Maybe user error, maybe it takes time. The circle feedback imagines I have more room between my nose and upper lip as it keeps telling me I'm not making enough circles there. Cleaning apparatus takes up too much space and I can't tell if you can seal the cleaning fluid container once opened. Placing it in the base it appears it would be difficult to remove to put the lid back on. Apparently Philips thinks we have unlimited counter space. It's ok. A little pricey. Whatever. I have little confidence you'll find anything much better on the market, but you probably want to keep your old one longer if you can.
