Didn't clean hair well
I normally buy a cheaper shampoo but decided to give this one a try. I have fairly oily hair and typically wash it every other day. After using this shampoo a couple of times, my scalp was so dry to the point that it's caused dry skin/dandruff flakes. On top of that, my hair looked noticably greasy within 12 hours of washing. I went back to my other shampoo and sure enough, my hair is now back to it's usual self.

Works surprisingly well!
I tried this after Wirecutter recommended it and I immediately saw why they did. It's expensive but you really don't need much at all — I have long hair and even with that just about a dime is enough. I've been using it as basically a reset shampoo all winter and haven't noticed any of the damage or dryness I normally have this time of year. It doesn't necessarily add volume by itself, but it DOES lift all the junk off my kinda greasy hair to allow my waves (2C) to come through with very little effort on my part. It's not super perfume-y but certainly doesn't smell bad (kind of like a nice hotel?). My hair gets clean on the first use, no need for a repeat. The price for a relatively small bottle worried me but I really think this is going to last for a long time and honestly I'm considering adding the conditioner into the mix as well to see if I like it as much.

This & the conditioner are auto rebuys
Ive been using this shampoo and conditioner for about two years and it's my favorite for fine hair. Doesnt weigh my hair down at all and is the best product ive tried for fine hair. It can be a bit drying so I always follow up with a leave in conditoner and that does the trick. The scent isnt my fav but I can live with it, it smells like baby powder to me.

This is a highly concentrated shampoo, so you don't need to use a lot. It smells fantastic. I have fine, long hair and this leaves my hair sooooo nice! Perfect volume and it leaves my hair in great shape. Never dry, never filmy or greasy.

Leaves my ends dry and my roots oily
One of the worst shampoos I have tried in a while. I'm a big fan of many other Ouai hair products but this one falls short. I have oily hair and I work out a lot so I'm used to washing my hair every other day. With this shampoo, my hair is greasy after one day and I have to wash again. I also feel like it leaves me ends dry. I use a clarifying shampoo once a week to help with oiliness plus heat protectant when blow drying. Doesn't make a difference. Skip this one, definitely not worth $32.

Great product!
My hair felt amazing after 1st wash. It felt much thicker and had a lot of body. Fragrance is strong. I tried the volume spray awhile back but the fragrance was too strong. So I was a little reluctant. But the shampoo and conditioner are toned down a bit, or maybe it's because you rinse it out that isn't quite as heavy. I only wash my hair every three to four days and my hair still smelled clean on 3rd day. I'm so glad I tried this product! I highly recommend for anyone with fine hair!

Ouai shampoo and conditioner for fine hair
I had been wanting to try this for awhile. I have fine blonde hair and get bored using the same thing all of the time. First, this was very drying but the worst is the smell! This smells like old lady's and baby powder and it's a STRONG scent. It took two washes with an alternative product to get the smell out. My hair ususally holds on to scent pretty decent but ive never had it happen to this extent. I will not be using the rest if thos product so i am super happy i bought the trial sizes. Im not sure who thought thos scent would be appealing. Its so bad!

My hair is fine and wavy. I have always use shampoo for fine Hair hair. Recently started using other products when my favorite shampoo changed ingredients. This shampoo makes my hair very clean, but not dry. Stays clean or longer. I also use the conditioner with it.

Too intense
Use it once. The smell is so intense. Left me too squeaky clean and I had the worse eye burn from the smallest splash of water getting in my eye from the shampoo. I really hoped it worked for my fine oily hair but I’m afraid this just isn’t the fit for my sensitive scalp and eyes.

Purchased since Kenra was over drying my hair. Sebastian Drench was causing an oily mess a day after washing- i dont have oily hair. Looking for an alternative to Aveda prices. So far this product is doing fine. Only used a few times- time will tell. Bought the travel size as a tester- a little goes a long way & my hair is long. Feel like I can easily get a month out the tester. I wash 2 or 3 times p.w. Has a lovely smell. My hair feels & looks good.

I have been pregnant and postpartum and have never seen so much hair fall out. My hair was tangled and dry. My scalp actually hurts after using this. Do yourself a favor and get purology or virtue.

Weighs your down
Besides being overly fragrant, once again, I have discovered another shampoo that is for fine hair and does nothing but weigh it down. It's really disappointing because when you have short hair and you want volume, it's really hard to find a shampoo that will create the volume that I crave. I've been on a frustrating hunt since my previous shampoo changed formulas. I was hoping Ouai might do the trick given its reputation but it's a total bust plus I cannot wait to shampoo my hair and get this intense fragrance out of it. Maybe other people like their hair full of perfume.I am not that person.

Sadly I really like the way my husband's hair looked after he used this product but the smell is so bad I don't want him using it again. Why does it have to have so many scents? Wish there was an unscented version.
