It doesn’t have a dedicated “toast” button or browning level settings like a pop-up toaster would. Instead, you’d use the Air Broil or Bake function, ideally in the top basket for better crisping since it’s closer to the heating element. It works well for thicker slices and gives a nice golden finish, though it may take a bit longer and require manual timing. If you're looking for something with more precise toasting control, a Ninja countertop oven like the DT201 or SP351 might be a better fit. They include toast-specific settings and browning levels.

Save yourself the frustration and avoid this brand completely
I bought their air fryer less than a year ago, and the problems started early. I liked the idea of the stacked dual-drawer layout to save counter space, but the actual design just didn’t hold up. Because of where the fans are placed, the cooking was uneven. I had to open the drawer halfway through and move the food around just to get it to cook properly. I dealt with it because I really wanted the vertical design to work, but it was frustrating right from the start. On top of that, every time you turned it on, it blasted a loud beeping noise with no option to silence it. Annoying and totally unnecessary. Then one of the drawers stopped emitting hot air altogether. The fan just quit, so only one compartment actually cooked anything. That’s when I reached out for warranty service, and things went downhill fast. Their warranty process is a complete nightmare. They make you jump through endless hoops, demand multiple photos, and every time I sent exactly what they asked for, they claimed something was wrong with the pictures. It honestly felt like they were trying to avoid honoring the warranty. And even if they eventually approve your claim, they still expect you to pay a $25 shipping fee to get a replacement for their defective product. The quality is poor, the design is flawed, and the customer service is the worst part of all of it. If you want an air fryer, go with Cosori. I’ve never had a single issue with them, and their customer service is fantastic. Please don’t waste your money on this brand. You’ll end up disappointed, frustrated, and stuck dealing with a company that doesn’t stand behind its own products. Stay clear.

Unimpressive
Not a great item. Was looking for something to work with our smaller counters, but the heat vents on the side for this unit (not the back like other air fryers) and the timer and fan/hearing element still run with you pull out a basket. Don’t get it and try it out from Target because we had a lot of pushback when we went to return it even though they are going to put it back on the floor with a clearance tag, I’m sure; we only had the item opened for about a week so the pushback wasn’t warranted.

Beyond disappointed
I bought this to replace my single drawer Ninja air fryer so that I could have two drawers that cook independently but boy do regret that! This does not work very well at all. We tried to cook premade hashbrowns but they took a very long time to crisp up. Same thing with tater tots and everything else we have cooked. I am beyond disappointed and can't return it because we threw away the box like a bunch of dunderheads.

We've been using our double stack for 3 weeks & very happy. There are a few online videos saying this model doesn't cook well or evenly. I totally disagree with this, very even cooking & on par or less cooking time than an air fryer we've had in the past. Only downside is our dog doesn't like the fairly loud bleeping!

Buttons are cheap
I love that this is somewhat compact and out of the way. It also fits perfectly under the cabinets. I strongly dislike the button functions on this. It is a cheap plastic that I do believe will eventually crack.

Flawed design, find something else
Even with giving an appropriate distance away from all sides (1 foot each side) & the top (5 inches above), this device heats up dangerously hot. The only side that doesn’t heat up badly is the vented side, and it would have actually been decent if there were vents on each side and the top. It got so hot that pieces of plastic under my upper cabinets began to melt. Customer support from Shark Ninja was garbage, they understood what I had to say but had zero solution. For something so expensive, why not prioritize a design that makes the product safer? As easy as it was to clean and cook, safety is a massive concern.

Nice but…
Although I love all my Ninja products I unfortunately had to send this back. Yes it has dual baskets but I find them to be too small for my needs.

Save your money!
I was so excited to buy this… i am terribly disappointed. It takes forever to cook anything, the holes for venting in the back of the basket make it a mess! Crumbs, oil, and juice fly out the back… truly that’s enough to hate it but there’s more… if you leave a basket open or have to open it to take food out it completely kills the heat in the other basket… the space you save on your counter is taken by how far you have to place things to avoid the heat coming out the side instead of the back. Wish I could return or exchange! Only was offered a small discount on a different one.

Does not stack up in my book.
This is the first time I officially have to say I am not happy with a ninja product. I bought this because I thought it would be a great space saver in my kitchen considering I don't have a lot of counter space. And I was super excited because I would be able to cook chicken wings in it all at one time instead of having to do batches of 8 to 10 at a time. When I first received it I noticed that it takes longer for stuff to cook in it and things don't really get crispy. I like my chicken wings a little bit on the crispy side when it comes to the skin and I can't get them like that with this. It takes me twice as long to cook items in it that I would normally cook in another air fryer in 5 to 6 minutes. When you pull the baskets out The machine keeps running you have to actually pause it which was not something I had to do with my previous air fryer. When I just want to heat things up it takes even longer then what it should. I think the idea of this is really great but having both baskets connected is not fun as I was wanting to do broiling to crisp up my wings a little bit and I can only broil in one and not both of them at the same time. If you're one of those people that love to make the mac and cheese in your air fryer you cannot do it in this one. I did find them easy to clean which was great All the food comes right off when you put the things in the sink and wash them. But this is a two-part system that runs together and it just doesn't cook the way a regular air fryer does that doesn't share the same cooking elements. I'm an avid Ninja user probably 90% of the appliances in my house are from Ninja all the way from my air fryer to the Ninja Swirl we just bought. But this one just doesn't cut it for me, I wish I could return it but I believe I've had it too long at this point.

Needs custome togs for top tray
We like this product the xxxl double stacker apart from 2 things, the beep is SOOO loud and if you do want to move things around in the bottom tray or remove the top tray you need 2 pairs or togs or something. It should have come with custome togs to remove the tray while it's hot. This makes me not want to use the top tray anymore. Alot of money to not want to use it

From an easy lunch of nuggets and fries to extra juicy pork tenderloin medallions,baby broccoli and roasted potatoes! We have had so much fun using this at least 4 times a week in our house. The recipes are literally limitless. And it’s LARGE so you can cook the whole meal. The controls are modern and the temperature control allows you to cook that meat and veggies at the same time. There is actually the option to sync the top and bottom to cook at different times because we know a pork tenderloin or chicken breast cook time is different from veggies and potato’s. We love it!! 19/10
