A: No, the Ninja Sizzle Pro GX101 does not use infrared heat. It uses electric heating with ProTemp IQ Technology for even, edge-to-edge cooking.

A: The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL GX101 is designed for easy cleaning. The grill plate and griddle are removable and dishwasher-safe, and the drip tray can be washed with warm, soapy water. For quick cleanup, you can also use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the heating element and exterior once cooled.

A: While you can store the griddle by covering it with a proper cover (waterproof and sturdy), we don't recommend using it outdoors.

A: The Slotted Lid is dishwasher safe. The grill grate and/or griddle plates are not dishwasher safe.

A: When using the the Sizzle Pro XL Griddle + Grill, always select the recommended temperature setting. We also recommend using one of the following oils when grilling: almond oil, avocado oil, canola oil, grape seed oil, or vegetable oil.

Cooking food at a higher temperature than recommended will result in more smoke and food having a burnt, acrid flavor. Applying oil to food or the griddle plate can improve nonstick performance during cooking. If using oil, we recommend using oils with high smoke points instead of olive oil.

A: The grease from cooking is collected and can be easily disposed of using the removable grease catch located at the front of the unit.

A: Our chef-designed temperature settings maximize griddle flavors and textures while minimizing smoke. Also, it's an indoor grill so it won't trigger the smoke alarm.
